Palestine Queer Cinema offers a curated lineup of short films from Queer Palestinian and allied artists across historic Palestine, the diaspora and beyond. The event celebrates Palestinian voices and highlights the key role of art in resistance and the struggle for liberation.

Palestine Queer Cinema is a part of a global film festival, marking 1 out of 110 screenings in 34 countries. The program features a diverse mix of identities, lengths, styles and genres (doc-hybrid, experimental, fiction, and animation). All proceeds go to Al-Qaws organisation for Sexual & Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society.

Together we will learn about the complex nature of our feelings with the help of simple yet creative tools. This is a collaborative exploration that will be co-created and all feelings are welcome.

This gathering is meant to facilitate care and hold emotional space in light of recent Zionist-American aggression on Lebanon and Iran. Please note that this event is organised specifically for people from SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa). This space is anti-zionist, anti-racist and against all foreign intervention.

👥 The session will be guided by Lina and Farida, both therapists from Egypt with years of experience working creatively with the therapeutic relationship through many modalities.

👤 Lina has a collaborative approach with her clients based on exploring together and deepening trust in oneself, focusing on self-acceptance, integration and embodiment. Through her ongoing journey decolonizing therapy, Lina has discovered a deep interest in somatics and working with the body. She believes that all feelings are communication that needs to be heard and integrated.

👤 Farida has a collaborative approach with her clients believing that each person has the capacity to find answers within themselves. She tries to create space for people to reconnect with their imagination and playfulness. Farida considers mental health to be deeply political, making decolonization of the field and its practices an ongoing process for her.

Are you interested in learning new skills, building with your hands, and creating something meaningful from recycled materials? 🪵✨

Together with @buurmanutrecht, De Voorkamer is offering a free introductory woodworking course for community members who are new to the Netherlands, especially for those curious about working with their hands, exploring creative skills, or even considering a future profession in this field.

Over 6 Mondays, participants will learn basic woodworking techniques, work with handheld tools and small machines, and create their own small wooden furniture pieces 🪑

Stempelen, drukken, ontdekken: kinderen vanaf 4 jaar maken op SOUK Utrecht hun eigen ansichtkaart met linoplaten ontworpen door de Lino Groep van De Voorkamer.

@devoorkamerproject is dé ontmoetingsplek in Lombok waar nieuwkomers en Utrechters samenkomen om te maken, delen en verbinden. Speciaal voor SOUK Utrecht zijn de linoplaten geïnspireerd op de sfeer van de souk: kleuren, patronen en symbolen die jouw kindje mee naar huis neemt als klein aandenken aan de dag.
Experimenteren met kleur, textuur en de magie van linodruk, en eindigen met een zelfgemaakt kunstwerkje in de hand. Kom meedoen!💛
