Hyper-surveillance and visibility have made it incredibly difficult to regulate the output of art. I’m displaying this to feel authentic, trying to find value in activity while constantly asking, “who’s mad at me?” with people who clearly don't like me.
I don’t care if they like me; it’s just the reality of being influenced under the guise of visibility. I’m tricked by the scroll rhythm—it’s never meant to relate to real life.
We’ve all convinced ourselves we’re too smart to fall for it, but million-dollar marketing trickles down everywhere. The moment it entices you, it not only doubles down, but triples down. It becomes so normalized you don't even realize it’s been happening. We can't really control it.
I’ve been inspired by the beautiful art in my friends’ shows—the ability to create in uncertainty and strip away the 4K filters. "My experience with your experience." We cross-collaborate for views and likes, flirting with hyper-visibility, but the trade-off is feeling hyper-vigilant and dehumanized.
This informs my art because it happens from all angles. I wanted to capture the breakdown of a person in distress—physically, mentally, every debilitating aspect. The person never changes; only the people who spread it, and the way it’s spread, changes.

Honestly? It’s been a journey. For a long time, I felt like I had to keep these pieces of me hidden because the rooms I was in didn't really have space for the truth. I’ve watched people take our culture, take our energy, and give back 1% while they laugh at the very struggle that built them.
I’m just so grateful to finally be in a space where the work can breathe. Where I don’t have to "pretend" to be someone else just to make a room feel safe.
My first offering for distant blood is live now on @werrrkdotcom. It’s raw, it’s a little edgy, and it’s finally mine. 💿

To build DISTANT BLOOD, I had to look at the blueprints left by the architects who survived the fire.
This project is a forensic audit of my own soul, but its pulse belongs to Tina Turner. She taught us that the "Aftermath" isn't a place of ruin—it is a place of reconstruction. This visual identity is my tribute to that resilience; the transition from the industrial blue of the struggle into the gilded gold of the divine.
In the storytelling, I walked with Florence Welch. Her ability to turn a private exorcism into a public cathedral is the map I used for these 9 movements. Like her, I believe the "Big God" is in the details—the fabric, the library’s shadow, and the refusal to be small.
