Performing at York Plays was a moment of pure joy, magic, and a spiritual experience I still haven’t gotten over.

While I was performing, nearly 500 people watched in such stillness and focus—you could even hear the wind rustling by. That’s the power of being a performer: to move people, to spark reflection. I felt like a medium for something greater, something beyond my understanding.

These plays were staged in an immersive, medieval style—connecting with the audience eye to eye, body to body. It served a deeper purpose: an antidote to constant scrolling, a return to the human element of simply having a body. Just raw, live theatre. Done for fun, not money. No capitalistic lens.

This performance will forever live in my heart as one of those magical, flow-state moments as a storyteller. 🎭

I couldn’t bring it with me when I moved here due to limited carry-on luggage, and leaving it behind was tough🥹

But now, I have something that brings back memories of my childhood and reminds me of my journey as an artist. 🎶🎸
