Deniz Alkaç
founder & executive producer at @10outof10.tv
army reserve soldier @koninklijkelandmacht
founder of @bruut.media (acq)

Deniz Alkaç is a media entrepreneur and executive producer who’s been building at the intersection of creativity and strategy since his teens. After founding Bruut Amsterdam, one of the Netherlands’ first digital-first content studios, and growing it into an award-winning agency, he shifted his focus to filmmaking with 10/10. Driven by craft over hype and vision over volume, Deniz works on the kind of projects where ambition runs high and “average” simply isn’t an option.
Thanks for the interview Deniz!

Last week we turned our @10outof10.tv office into a restaurant for Ten’s Giving. An evening with the people who made this year remarkable.
Twenty months ago, I started 10/10 dreaming of challenging projects and working with people who share a passion for craft.
While building 10/10 people told me I was living in the past. That it wouldn’t work. That the market wasn’t going in that direction. That the advertising industry with love for craft didn’t exist anymore.
This year proved it is possible. That craft is more important and alive than ever. And now that we’ve found our tribe, I’m more excited than ever for the years to come.
Thank you for choosing us. For trusting us. For going against the current.
You don’t make a ten alone.
You craft it together.

A year ago, I made a decision: to apply as a soldier for the Royal Netherlands Army. Last week, I completed my training and officially joined the 20th Infantry Battalion of the National Reserve, part of the 11th Airmobile Brigade. As a reservist, I’ll combine my civilian work with a military role.
I’ve always been drawn to challenges that push me out of my comfort zone: growth happens where you’re tested in unfamiliar ways.
For me, it started with a commitment to my fittest year: a pair of running shoes and a few slow, sweaty kilometers (as documented on Strava) which led up to an intense overnight field training (a tough one for someone who had never camped 👀) and tears of pride as we speed-marched back through the gates of the barracks, carrying full gear, together with my company.
I’ve learned how to shoot, about courage, commitment and resilience. And I know this is just the beginning. I want to learn more about how to lead and follow, to listen, adapt, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
In uncertain times such as these, I feel a need to contribute. To stand for what I believe in. To do something that matters. If you live in freedom, you have a thousand wishes. If you don’t, you have only one.
And yes. I’ll keep building @10outof10.tv, where we craft the recruitment films for the Ministry of Defense… Seems like they worked a little too well 😅

You know you live a special life when something that once felt like a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’ happens for the second time: at @10outof10.tv, we’ve had the honor of creating the music video for the Netherlands’ entry to the Eurovision Song Contest!
For the past few weeks, we’ve been working in complete secrecy on the music video for the Netherlands’ Eurovision contestant: @claudekmb. Truly the nicest person to work with!
The result is a stunning film that moves me every single time I watch it. Directed by one of the hardest-working, most passionate directors I know: @ivanboljat. I’m beyond proud that we got to make this together in our first year. I told you on day one: a dance film was always on my wishlist. And now we did it!
And while I may have kicked things off and kept an eye on the bigger picture, this film wouldn’t be nearly as good without @noalemaire1. The time, energy, and dedication she put into every detail made it a true 10/10, despite every challenge (like having only two weeks of prep!). I had goosebumps on set watching it all come together. So incredibly proud of you!
This film wouldn’t be the same without @emmaevelein’s choreography, the dancers who gave it their all (some even traveled from abroad and crashed on couches just for this!), the insanely talented Oliviër that plays the young Claude, @themlenny’s cinematography, and the entire crew, too many to name here, who made this film possible and powered through an insane 14-hour shoot day to make this all possible.
Working with so much talent gives me such a joy. It’s been the ride of a lifetime… again. And I’m so grateful for it!
Ps. the amazing bts is by @michelegiebing and @noahs.navigating! 📸

What an incredible evening this was: the opening of our first 10/10 office! Not just because we had the chance to bring everyone together, but also because it gave me a moment to reflect on a year of unbelievably hard work building @10outof10.tv.
A question I get a lot is: “How’s it going, building 10/10?” And the answer is: good! I’m incredibly proud.
Did I completely underestimate what it would take to start a new production company? Absolutely.
I honestly believe that diving into this adventure for the second time is even harder than the first. But here we are, 10 months in, and I can confidently say: we’re on the right track.
I’m beyond grateful for the projects we’ve worked on so far, including those for our founding clients: PUMA, HOKA (with International Orange), Sam Feldt (with Sony Music), Armin van Buuren and Rivo (with Armada), SAIL Amsterdam, Winne, and MediaMarkt (with the amazing team at VML).
What truly stands out to me is the trust directors @tedalkemade, @ivan.boljat, @clovertom, @safi.graauw, and, as of this month, @lukaboerrigter, have placed in us. A year ago, this company didn’t even exist. It means the world to feel their belief in what we’re building.
I’m especially proud of @noalemaire1, who took the leap last year, quitting her job to join me on this journey. Building this company without you would have been so much less fun. Thank you.
This incredible start proves there’s real demand for what we stand for, and I’m beyond excited for what the year ahead holds.
If you’re looking for a 10/10, you know where to find us… 🖤

This incredible start proves there’s real demand for what we stand for, and I’m beyond excited for what the year ahead holds.
If you’re looking for a 10/10, you know where to find us… 🖤

What a ride this was; five days of shooting in Portland, Oregon for @HOKA, together with our friends at @internationalorange.amsterdam.
Amazing nature, amazing team, and I could definitely get used to that production RV too. Would rate 10/10 🤘🏼

Explored new German grounds, met new people, fell in love with the creative scene, made new friends, partied (… and spent Thursday nights with chips and cola in my hotel room).
This wasn’t just a brat summer.
This was a Berlin brat summer 🇩🇪

What does a 10 look like?
Feel, sound, or taste like?
That’s a question I’ve had the pleasure of answering several times in recent weeks. And how else to answer it but with a film? We’ve been busy crafting the 10/10 showreel, showcasing the work of our amazingly talented directors @ivan.boljat, @safi.graauw, @tedalkemade, and @clovertom.
Seeing it all together makes me so incredibly proud.
Only a few months ago, this company was nothing more than just a dream.
Curious to see more 10/10, or to collab? Send me a message, as I’d love to drop by for coffee. If you work at an craft-loving organization in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, or the UK, let’s arrange a 10/10 agency showcase complete with a delicious lunch at your office—on me!

“I believe that creating a 10 is about following your feelings and making intuitive choices.” I spoke with @porsche_nederland about the launch of @10outof10.tv, the power of film, and about daring to think big.
“In the Netherlands, the common saying is ‘Just act normal, that’s crazy enough.’ However, I believe that the magic of film lies in enchanting, and creating worlds that cannot be found in reality.”

I’ve got some exciting news to share with you. Today I am launching my new creative film production company: 10/10 (@10outof10.tv). Besides being a creative production house, 10/10 will serve as an international agency for directors and an inspiration platform for creatives worldwide.
A 10/10 film will show you something in a way you’ve never seen before: heart-pounding, reality-shifting, barrier-breaking or phone-tilting good.
Making that kind of film is not science, it’s personal, a matter of taste and never-ending curation. 10/10 stands for the endless pursuit of perfection, attention to the smallest details, and the craftsmanship behind it. It is with that craftsmanship that films are created that make us awe.
Over the past months, I have worked incredibly hard on building this new brand, assembling a handpicked roster of directors, and establishing valuable international connections in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Cape Town, and Los Angeles.
At the launch, 10/10’s roster includes three directors. @tedalkemade, based in the Netherlands/Ibiza, known for the Cannes Lion-winning case ‘The Bookcase for Tolerance’. @ivan.boljat, based in Berlin, was responsible for AirUp’s international campaign. @clovertom, based in London, collaborated with Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick for his commercials for Shares.
In this new adventure, my three great passions come together: my love for the magic that only film possesses, developing talent, and working internationally on projects with boundary-pushing creativity.
Unrestrained by borders, we will create amazing film: commercials, music videos, and I no longer shy away from the big screen too. I am incredibly excited about it!
Curious what your 10/10 could look like? Get in touch and let’s create something stupidly amazing together!
… You didn’t think you got rid of me, did you? 👀
