“Concertina Tesseract”. Made in cast iron, with patina. The mold for this casting was produced by directly cutting into the bonded sand mold material using a CNC router. This gazebo was an amazing opportunity for me. This one really flexed my brain. It’s one of the more complicated projects I’ve built. The design was a collaboration with an architect and the home owner. It is permanently installed in Birmingham Michigan. The frame is powder coated steel and the roof is laser cut aluminum.
