Postcards from Vietnam 🇻🇳
Haven’t been as excited to eat streetfood on miniature plastic stools by the road ever 🍜
Soaking up the natural beauty and the hills which were used as a backdrop for kingkong movies, and trying to understand HOW these people survived all of the horrible occupations and attacks done to them. The most unexpected way to handle colonial history? Building a french theme park on a hill (including the insta bridge) and charging a shitload to visit. nice one.
Don’t be fooled by the traditional dresses: It was close to the Lunar New Year, so lots of visitors from bordering countries aimed for the perfect new profile picture.🤣 motorbike traffic was insane but entertaining to find the weirdest things transported or just a dog in diapers (?)

it was such a privilege to meet the players and coaches from @girlpower_global who reunite female football players from afghanistan who live in exile around europe. It’s insane to think that a girl or woman cannot play sports just because of her gender! I hope one day the taliban will be removed so women can be safe again and families reunited. It is with awe to have witnessed what @khalida_popal_girlpower and her team do to save these girls from the brutal reality in their home. And everybody‘s bravery. If you haven’t read Khalida‘s book MY BEAUTIFUL SISTERS yet, go and order it.
Thank you @yonca.sophia for having me as your camera woman, and thank you for everyone involved to make this shortfilm possible. 💜

Last year, Deborah @decharess and I accompanied a team of young Afghan women footballers who were at that time calling for international recognition.
They met in Switzerland after nearly four years of living across Europe in exile, after each of them was forced to flee when the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan.
They crossed borders, lived in asylum camps, just to arrive somewhere they could start again and pursue their passion. To simply play football.
A right every woman, every girl should have but which is withheld to women in Afghanistan.
What stayed with me was their positive energy. Their playfulness. Their wholehearted way of being, despite everything they have experienced.
Seeing them together, playing on the pitch, is not only about sport. It’s a political act. Coming from a place where the rights of women are stripped away, where they are silenced and erased from public spaces, makes stepping onto that pitch exactly that:
an act of defiance. A form of resistance.
This short film gives a glimpse into that reunion and the dreams that came with it.
I’m incredibly thankful to have met them and what has grown since.
Thanks to @khalida_popal_girlpower and her organisation @girlpower_global, whose work supported the evacuation of the players and continues to push for equality in sport.
Forever greatful to this team for bringing this short film to life 💞 - link in Bio

Little escape to the UK last november 🍭🎥 my girl @sensu took me to capture her gigs in Brighton and Bristol. During a daily sleep of 3 hours, messy bus and train rides, a broken key to the airbnb at 4am and some funny and creepy incidents with locals, we were gifted with the most beautiful sundowner in Brighton. Check out the full reel if you havent yet🎢

making the Lost In The Dark musicvideo was COLD. We shot this on a november night at a location with sensitive power circuits. As we attached the light and two water boilers, the connection fell out already. we found another outlet for the light but couldnt risk losing this one too, so our set designer @tabea1_1 and runner @lukas_libero went back and forth 100 times to get hot water from a bar nearby while we had to start shooting. Shout out to warrior @novaranyx who got into the cold water to perform iside the 1,5m aquarium. It was worth it 🌊 thank you for having me as your dop to help bring your vision to life @_jess.baum 🖤

☘️ The Irish, fast changing weather pretty much represents my first year as a freelancer - a rollercoaster of emotions filled with candid moments of joy. I’m beyond thankful for the people who always support me and am still stoked how this year turned out! Ready to see what 2026 holds ✨
Shoutout to my mexican friend @sandmmc who faced her fear of driving on the other side of the road all the way from Dublin to the Cliff of Moher & Galway and back almost a year ago 💖 Lots of love also to the Irish people whose spirit of resistance still gives me goosebumps 🌈
