My mother is already settled in her hometown in Poland, and my dad is soon joining her. We spent a month on the road together, camping up and down the west coast along with a few of his college buddies. Towards the end we were able to set up camp in ten minutes, tents and all. Wrapping up would have almost the same if it weren’t for drawn out, greasy breakfasts, which I didn’t care for, but it felt good to slow down. My brother, who’s lived in Wroclaw for years now, also joined for a stint. Hopefully I speak better Polish now than a month ago. All photos shot on my Mamiya 645 Pro TL.

Visiting there will be a momentary getaway from the stress over here in Los Angeles and I’m grateful for that. I’ve added a link to get tickets on my website under “The Handshake”.

My film, The Handshake, is screening Dec. 10th at the LA Live Regal in DTLA with the Culver City Film Festival. I’ll share a link on my website if you live in LA and want to check it out!

Almost exactly a year ago I directed this short film with a lot of friends. I’m incredibly thankful for @eduardompulido and @damienfoley1997 starring in this film, and @nicky_sox for shooting it. It’s about a struggling delivery driver who’s lured in to an ex championship fighters home in hopes for a tip, but ends up playing a role in his violent coping mechanism. I created the story and @iansteelela wrote the screenplay.
