✨Here’s Exactly How to Get the Most Out of Your Bridal Preview ✨

1) Look for inspiration photos that resemble your features. If you have hooded eyes and select makeup inspiration of all large, round eye shapes, keep in mind, these looks won’t look the same on your features 👁️

2) Your preview sessions are so you can TRY things. Not like all 57 pins on your mood board, haha but this is so you can see if what you want, looks the way you think it will. It’s ok if you change your mind. Sometimes things don’t look the way we thought it would, and that’s where our team can advise you on how to achieve the look you want but suited to your skin tone, face shape, and hair texture. 🦋

3) FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Often times at your previews, our team will instruct on how to prepare for your wedding day to get the best results. For example, maybe you need more layers in your hair for the style you want or perhaps you need to start prepping your skin differently, so your makeup application is smoother. It’s ok if you decide not to follow our advise, but just remember you may not get the results you want. 🫶🏽

4) OPEN COMMUNICATION! This is the most important part of your session. Speak openly about what you like and don’t like. Tell us your own challenges with your hair…does it hold curl? with your skin…do you have allergies? with your makeup…do your eyes water? If you don’t tell us, we don’t know! Although we are pretty intuitive, we are not ninja mind readers 🥷

In the end, we want you to LOVE your hair & makeup because making you happy, makes US happy! 💋

Most brides don’t get their look “right” at the preview.
Monica didn’t either—and that’s exactly how it should be.

At her preview, she tried Hollywood waves—and realized they weren’t her.
Too structured. Too uniform.

So we softened them.
Added volume so her hair didn’t fall flat.
Shifted her lip to something more neutral.
Straightened her brows.
Built out the lash just enough to open her eyes.

Nothing dramatic.
But everything intentional.

And this is the part brides don’t always expect—
it’s completely normal to want to change things after your preview.

Especially for Asian brides, or anyone who hasn’t always felt fully seen in beauty spaces…
there’s often a moment of “this is beautiful, but it’s not quite me yet.”

That’s not failure.
That’s the process.

By the wedding day, nothing felt forced.
Her skin still looked like skin.
Her hair moved the way she wanted it to.

She looked like herself—
from the quiet moments in the morning
to the last glass of champagne at the end of the night.

You don’t need to get it perfect.
You just need someone who knows how to refine it with you.

Sometimes the hardest bridal looks to create are the ones meant to look the most effortless.

This bride wanted makeup that felt incredibly natural, soft, and minimal — but “natural makeup” can mean something completely different from one person to the next.

So we refined.
We adjusted.
We listened closely.

Because bridal beauty isn’t about applying the same look to everyone.
It’s about understanding the woman wearing it.

The final result:
soft skin,
gentle definition,
movement in the hair,
and makeup that still felt like her.

Beauty that feels like you — elevated, timeless, unforgettable. #dceliteimage ✨

Not every bride wants transformation.
Not every woman defines beauty the same way.

Some women want softness.
Some want structure.
Some want glow.
Some want restraint.

And especially in multicultural beauty, artistry is never about applying the same formula to every face.

It’s about understanding:
features, undertones, textures, comfort levels, personal style, culture, and identity — then knowing how to adapt without losing the woman underneath it all.

Sometimes the most beautiful makeup is the makeup you barely notice.
The kind that still looks like skin.
Still feels like her.
Just thoughtfully refined for the moment she’s in.

That’s the difference 🤍

She never wanted to look overly “bridal.”

No heavy glam.
No dramatic transformation.
No makeup that felt separate from who she already was.

She wanted softness.
Movement.
Skin that still looked like skin.
And hair that felt effortless, romantic, and lived in — like the most beautiful version of herself.

What many brides don’t realize is that restraint takes intention.

The softer and more natural a look appears, the more thoughtful the technique behind it has to be — especially for a full wedding day, photography, changing light, emotion, and hours of wear.

One of the sweetest parts of this wedding was that earlier that same year, we also had the honor of doing her sister’s wedding 🤍

Being welcomed back by the same family is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.

Beauty should never wear you.
It should still feel like you.

One of the greatest honors of our work is being welcomed into so many different wedding mornings, cultures, and family traditions.

Over the years, we’ve worked with every skin tone, undertone, hair texture, eye shape, and beauty style imaginable — but what always stays the same is the emotion.

For us, the mothers are never just an “additional service.” They are often the calm in the room, the ones holding everything together behind the scenes, and many times, the very first person to place their trust in our team.

That’s why experience matters. Our team is made up of seasoned artists and stylists who know how to care for women of all ages, all backgrounds, and all beauty styles with intention, warmth, and professionalism.

We’re so honored to share these mornings with your families.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Jane told me she’d had makeup experiences before where she didn’t feel like herself.

Too heavy.
Too shiny.
Too much.

So during her bridal preview, we refined everything intentionally:
softened eyes,
adjusted the lashes,
added more blush,
shifted the lip tone,
and completely changed the way we prepped and set her skin for longevity.

Because beautiful makeup isn’t enough if it doesn’t last.

And for women who don’t wear a lot of makeup every day—especially many Asian brides—it’s not about transformation.
It’s about trust.
Communication.
Refinement.
And knowing when tiny adjustments make the biggest difference.

At 2:32am, she sent me the last slide 🥹

Gina came in with a vision—but like most brides, it evolved once everything came together.

We softened her eye, added a little more depth to her lip, and made a last-minute decision to take her hair from half-up to a full updo.

And that shift made her feel more like a bride.

This is why your preview isn’t the final step—it’s part of the process.

The goal is never to change you.
It’s to refine what’s already there, so you feel like yourself—just more confident, more polished, and fully confident walking into your day.

It’s not just makeup.
It’s how you feel walking into the day.

Three events, three completely different looks ✨

What made this one really special—she trusted me with all of them without sending a single inspiration photo.

We talked through everything instead.
Her style, her outfits, how she wanted to feel… and also making sure everything still complemented the bride.

So each look was designed with intention—
juicy, bold lip for the welcome party,
soft, romantic tones for the ceremony,
and elevated glam for the reception.

Different looks, but nothing felt disconnected.
Everything still felt like her.

And even down to the details—
a lip we chose for her ended up being so perfect, we used it for one of the bride’s looks too.

ok, but I need to know… which look are you choosing?
