Dieses Jahr wird unsDaniel Morawitz ins Festivalgetümmel mitnehmen! 👯
Ab morgen – pünktlich zur Eröffnung der Viennale – begleitet er uns durchs erste Festivalwochenende: Eindrücke, Lieblingsfilme, Begegnungen und vor allem ganz viel Kinoflair.

Daniel Morawitz ist Filmemacher und Student für Schnitt und Drehbuch an der Filmakademie Wien. Neben diesen Schwerpunkten versucht er sich auch immer wieder als Regisseur von Kurzfilmen und Musikvideos. Seine Leidenschaft gilt dem Genrekino und generell Filmen, die durch eine starke formale Experimentierfreude geprägt sind – eine Verbindung, die er auch in seinen eigenen Arbeiten weiterverfolgt.
Neben seiner filmischen Tätigkeit kuratiert er Filmveranstaltungen im Rahmen des von ihm mitgegründeten Filmclubs Kino und Krawall im Stadtkino Wien. Seit 2025 ist er zudem Programmleiter der Shortynale.
