This was a plot twist I never saw coming.

Last August, I was diagnosed with cancer. It’s not something I ever imagined writing here, but after completing my course of chemotherapy and slipping quietly back into work for the past two months , I feel it’s now time to share.

This experience has been confronting, humbling, and deeply transformative. It forced me to slow down, to reassess, to sit with uncertainty. And in doing so, it also reminded me why I do what I do. Filmmaking has always been about capturing the human experience, about resilience, connection, and the moments that change us. I’ve lived that in a new way now, and it’s shaped how I see both life and storytelling.

I don’t share this for sympathy, I just wanted to acknowledge the past few months, thank those who’ve been there for me from the bottom of me heart, and say I’m looking ahead, grateful, recalibrated and glad to be back doing the things I love.
