Since we only have one more performance before this routine goes into the vault… we thought we’d let everyone enjoy the masterpiece that is “A Night in Gotham” 🃏🐈‍⬛

This piece has let us rack up awards left and right all season! Not only that,but it allowed our students to understand what being “in character” truly means.

We are so incredibly proud of this team!!! Everywhere we go we are the underdogs, but every time we leave a place we’re the talk of the night. One thing about Da Brand we’re going to leave a long lasting impression 👏

Congratulations again on your win kiddos! We started from SCRATCH this season and this group of kids really stepped up. We hope you all see the difference between your audition self and the dancer you are now because BOYYY the growth is insane 🤯

What can we say… what a way to close out our 2024 competition season. These kids put it all on the floor today! 🥊

All odds were stacked against us and still continue to be but that didn’t stop us from being the most passionate performance up there 🙌 from start to finish we had jaws on the floor and as entertainers the crowds love and reactions mean the most to us ❤️

As a coach this is the cleanest and most passionate we’ve ever seen our team and we couldn’t be prouder! Not only did I push myself as a choreographer (created my first ever contemporary piece) but you guys pushed yourselves day in and day out to grow!!! 🗣️🗣️

🚨ANXIETY. 🚨

We all know it, we’ve all heard about it, and unfortunately a lot of us go through it.

If that’s the case why is it so hard to talk about it with the youth?For our social impact campaign at the STEP IT UP COMPETITION” we tackled the hard topic of Anxiety and mental health in the youth.

As dancers, a lot of our kids experience the pressures of balancing school, home life, and dance. Sometimes it’s a constant battle between themselves and their mind yet they say nothing.. why?

Creating a dance routine surrounding this topic wasn’t easy. However we knew that opening up the floor for conversation was the first steps!

Our team took it to the streets of Times Square and asked COMPLETE STRANGERS about theirstruggle with mental health. Take some time to listen and open yourself up to the conversation.

Meet all the members of D.B.U 📓❤️

In our hip hop/ contemporary piece we tackle the hard conversation of anxiety and depression in the youth! This was one of if not THE most emotional and storytelling routine we’ve put on a stage yet!

These kids worked incredibly hard on this piece and everything worked out in their favor. We came with hunger and a story to tell and we took that W thangggggyaaaaa 🤪🤪😈

As a coach, watching our kids come together and work as a TEAM without me having to open my mouth just makes me a proud mom 🥹🥹 love you guys

“Mental Battle” 🧠 - a contemporary hip hop routine that focuses on the pressures of Anxiety in the youth.

“DBU RADIO” 🎙️ - a hip hop routine bringing back all of our dance favorites throughout the seasons.

We love all our kiddos! Old, new, returning, not returning. There’s no hard feelings, just lessons learned and new adventures to go on!

As promised here is our full emo/ Halloween inspired hip hop routine titled “It’s not a phase.” 🖤

It was so much fun not only dancing but creating this piece! All the make up, outfits, and hair really pulled our vision together perfectly.

We were so hyped to hop on the “gnarly” trend and channel our inner “goth”.

Thank you so much to @accordshowcase for having us and we’re so happy everyone loved our piece! The only kid team to grace the stage and we didn’t disappoint 🤭
