Mitraille’s NEW EP called EP IV 🔥

Less than a year after releasing their second full-length ‘MITRAIILLE’, MITRAILLE returns with a shit-hot new EP. Lead single “Fuck You I’m Going On Tour” – aptly titled, as the band preps for an 18-day European run – is a blistering, one-minute-twenty blast about ditching the daily grind to live the dream: sit in a van all day, hang in humid basements all night. With its pummeling delivery and crunchy analog grit, the track is a fierce harbinger of MITRAILLE’s most untamed, primitive, good-ol’-rawk’n’rolling release yet. On the five-track ‘EP IV’, the band taps into early influences like Zeke, New Bomb Turks, and – of course – Motörhead, without losing any of the vivacity of their usual garage punk/hardcore blend.

With the brand new EP (out on Belly Button Records) under their arm, and an insatiable appetite for performing live, the trio is embarking on their busiest year yet.

Ik herinner mij nog vaag dat er na de verkiezingen sprake was van “tegengas” en “kunnen wegen op het bestuur”. Ik kan mij vergissen, want ik kan mij niet inbeelden waar dit tegengas heeft plaatsgevonden, of dat dit het bestuur is waarop jullie wegen.

Dit verhaal gaat door onder jullie coalities. Inderdaad tijd om conclusies te trekken. Is dit waar jullie voor staan?

Wie zich afvraagt wat er de laatste dagen aan de gang is rond de bomenkap in Deurne-Zuid: dat wordt in dit artikel mooi samengevat.

Er valt nog veel meer over te vertellen, maar ik zit persoonlijk vooral met enkele vragen nu.

Dit gaat al lang niet meer over enkele bomen.

Gisterenavond, op het protest aan het Kastanjeplein, wist Karen Maes (Groen Deurne) te zeggen dat als de kap vandaag door zou gaan, Groen hier hun conclusies uit zou trekken. Ik geloof dat zij dit meende. En nu de kap onverbiddelijk doorgaat kijk ik er naar uit om vanavond deze conclusies te horen.
Ik geloof Karen Maes en Frank Vercammen (Vooruit Deurne) wanneer zij zeggen dat ze de laatste dagen onafgebroken hebben gewerkt om dit tegen te gaan. Ik geloof hen oprecht. Maar ik wéét dat Het Juiste Spoor dit ook heeft gedaan. En niet enkel de laatste dagen, maar de laatste weken, maanden en jaren.

Districtscollege Deurne: Jullie zijn volkomen aan de kant geschoven in dit verhaal. Laten jullie dat passeren? Van N-VA Deurne verwacht ik dat, want zij moeten de partijlijn volgen en verder zwijgen. Maar Groen en Vooruit? Jullie zijn verkozen door jullie district. Jullie zijn een coalitie aangegaan met N-VA Deurne. Iedereen die zijn stem gebruikte om jullie een mandaat te geven kijkt nu jullie richting uit. Wanneer straks de laatste bomen tegen de grond liggen - en de drones en arrestatiebusjes hun laatste rondjes hebben gedaan - gaan jullie dan tegen de buurt zeggen: “tja, we hebben echt geprobeerd te praten met het stadsbestuur”? Groen en Vooruit Deurne: Is dit de manier waarop jullie aan politiek willen doen? Als ik op districtsniveau op Vooruit of Groen stem, is dit dan wat ik mag verwachten? En dan nog Vooruit Stad Antwerpen: deel van het stadsbestuur. Jullie gaan akkoord met deze manier van werken? Dit is de manier van besturen waar jullie als partij achter staan? Allemaal prima?
