Cenotaph wurden bereits 1987 ins Leben gerufen und zählen mithin zu den absoluten Pionieren der mexikanischen Death-Metal-Szene. Nach einigen frühen Demos und zwei EPs in den Jahren 1990 und 1991 veröffentlichten sie ihr Debütalbum „The Gloomy Reflection of Our Hidden Sorrows“, eines der Meisterwerke der frühen mexikanischen Szene, der als Meilenstein der lateinamerikanischen Death Metal gilt. Auf ihrem frühen Material spielten Cenotaph eine düstere und intensive Form des Death Metal, der die melancholischen Riffs früher schwedischer und finnischer Bands mit der Brutalität früher US-Bands verband. Nach diesem Album vollzog sich ein radikaler Richtungswechsel: Cenotaph orientierte sich stilistisch an der aufkommenden melodischen Death-Metal-Szene aus Schweden. Nach ihrer Wiedervereinigung konzentrieren sich Cenotaph nun auf ihr früheres Material, so dass sich Fans früher mexikanischer Bands wie Mortuary, Shub Niggurath oder Blackthorn das Konzert vormerken sollten.
Die aus Bristol stammende Band Cryptworm ist seit 2014 aktiv und hat seither ein Demo, mehrere EPs und drei Alben veröffentlicht, wobei das letzte im Laufe dieses Jahres erscheinen soll. Die produktive Band zieht ihre Inspiration aus der frühen finnischen Death-Metal-Szene, insbesondere der Demo-Phase von Demilich und Adramelech, sowie von neueren Bands wie Undergang oder Cerebral Rot, die von diesem Stil beeinflusst sind. Dementsprechend zu erwarten sind extrem tief gestimmte, seltsame Riffs, ultratiefe, flüsternde Vocals und eine dreckige, abstoßende Atmosphäre.

This monster death metal bill raising funds for the Merseyside Refugee Support Network will take place on the 24th October.
Please welcome the two final bands on this lineup:
After 2 years of festivals and tours supporting the second album, Cryptworm is back with their 3rd album released last Friday by Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Extremely Rotten Productions.
Their new offering injects even more fury and unpleasantries into the already crushing sound they had carefully built, taking things even further into the abyssal murk of the underground for all real maniacs to revel in the molten rot on display. If the song titles such as “Drowning in Purulent Excrementia” and “Gastrointestinal Seepage” don’t already give you an idea of what to expect, then allow your ears to fall victim to the sonic suppuration of Cryptworm’s most malformed release to date.
Ceremonial Bloodbath formed in 2015 for the single
purpose of creating extreme raw metal that creates chaotic, swarming hellscapes with barbaric rhythms holding the caving ground underneath. This Canadian 4-piece hails from Canada's West Coast in allegiance to sculpt their anti-music which began entirely committed to themes of ritual human sacrifice.
Most releases from the band feature fully developed and original samples created by lead guitarist Abysmal Berserker, which are often featured in live performances.
They will be joining an already stacked bill, featuring @coffinmulch @gorgonvomit @wolfbastard_official @trench_foot_osdm and @smoulderingtombdeath

This monster death metal bill raising funds for the Merseyside Refugee Support Network will take place on the 24th October.

After 2 years of festivals and tours supporting the second album, Cryptworm is back with their 3rd album released last Friday by Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Extremely Rotten Productions.
Their new offering injects even more fury and unpleasantries into the already crushing sound they had carefully built, taking things even further into the abyssal murk of the underground for all real maniacs to revel in the molten rot on display. If the song titles such as “Drowning in Purulent Excrementia” and “Gastrointestinal Seepage” don’t already give you an idea of what to expect, then allow your ears to fall victim to the sonic suppuration of Cryptworm’s most malformed release to date.
Ceremonial Bloodbath formed in 2015 for the single
purpose of creating extreme raw metal that creates chaotic, swarming hellscapes with barbaric rhythms holding the caving ground underneath. This Canadian 4-piece hails from Canada's West Coast in allegiance to sculpt their anti-music which began entirely committed to themes of ritual human sacrifice.
Most releases from the band feature fully developed and original samples created by lead guitarist Abysmal Berserker, which are often featured in live performances.
They will be joining an already stacked bill, featuring @coffinmulch @gorgonvomit @wolfbastard_official @trench_foot_osdm and @smoulderingtombdeath
