very excited to announce our first headline dates of 2026 feat. the lovely @16undergroundmusic and @bedisaboat ✷ tickets on sale this friday 11/14 at 10am pst

today we share ‘no scope’ with all of you.

we’re proud of all of our work, but most proud of the fact that when we listen to these songs they take us somewhere real, bc they came from somewhere real. beautiful places, scary places, hopeful places, tortured places, sweet and timeless places. they’re snapshots, core samples, mementos from a time and place and now we can share them with you.

it’s nice, and a little strange to be able to view them with some distance from where we are now. chicago, getting ready to play a show on a full US tour in support of our first album. it’s a place we didn’t think this would go, and the surprise of all of this makes me wonder where it will go next. only time will but until then, please enjoy ‘no scope’

Crushed started off as an online friendship, one built on a shared playlist of ’90s favourites: The Sundays, Cowboy Junkies, and Dido, the kind that Bre Morell and Shaun Durkan heard via the radio in their youth. The duo soon found themselves drawing on their playlist for their own music, one that would lead to their life-changing debut EP, 2023's 'Extra Life'.⁣
⁣
“We had joked about not even sharing the songs at all, but they turned out even better than we could have thought," Morell says. "Then people liked them even more than we expected.” Durkan adds that the reception that greeted ‘Extra Life’ “was a real perspective change”, helping him "really laser-focus" on their work. The duo are now making postmodern, emotive alt-pop – and “just going for it”.⁣
