In March 2017 at a March on Rikers we demanded that @nycmayor #closerikersnow as part of the @closerikersnow coalition. Today we are demanding the same! There is a humanitarian crisis happening in our city!

In October 2018 @bkbmg went to Rikers to screen Raised in the System for the incarcerated young men — while he was there to love on the young men and lift their spirits he used his time strategically to influence the guards and force them to see their own humanity in the incarcerated men. He challenged them to be vulnerable and open their hearts by changing their behaviors And recognize the joint trauma that a place like Rikers causes. Mike was love all the time to all people. #brooklynboymadegood
