I always make short films between developing my feature projects. This one came with absolutely no budget — right after I’d written The Outsider Filmmaker, a book about the mindset of low-budget filmmaking. Suddenly, I had to follow my own advice. Applying my momentum-driven strategies, I pushed forward and made the film.⁠

Like all my sci-fi shorts, it’s also a proof-of-concept for a larger feature. But more than that, it was a test of process — a reminder that limitations can drive creativity and that story matters more than scale. The experience was humbling, energizing, and a reaffirmation of why I tell visually driven sci-fi stories: to connect with audiences, budget or no budget.⁠
