Seedance 2.0 is here, and it’s absolutely insane! But AI filmmaking still takes a lot of work.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from working on a handful of AI-based projects over the past few months is that there’s no “easy button” when it comes to creating with AI.

Sure, anyone can enter a prompt and get good results. But making something worth watching takes time, thought, and creativity.

The filmmaking tools are changing. But creatives aren’t going anywhere.

Without further ado, I present to you: “The Last Bao”

In a world where no one really asked for this, two sisters must fight for... THE LAST BAO.

Created for the @higgsfield.ai Action Contest using Nano Banana Pro, Kling 3.0, and Seedance 2.0.

And a very special shout out to @gavin_buckland @tucurly4u @kendall_rittenour and Ryan Pribyl for helping with the finishing touches!

If you enjoy the video, please give it some love on the Higgsfield competition site as well - link in bio for that!

🎬 “Don’t be afraid to dream big. Don’t be afraid to take risks. But know that if it comes with failure, that’s okay. That’s part of the process.” – Corry Wiens, Stories That Move

On this next episode, @corrygw reminds us that creative risk is where the magic happens. Failure isn’t the end—it’s a step toward growth, grit, and resilience. And the best part? In filmmaking, you never have to go it alone.

Swipe through some BTS moments from Defy the Odds—a project built on bold ideas, brave storytelling, and a crew that showed up for each other every step of the way.

Tune in tomorrow to hear the full story!

LA-based director Corry Wiens’ unique style lives in the intersection of story and grit, resulting in gripping films that leave a lasting impact.

Featured here, Wiens winning submission for Filmsupply Editfest 2022 - Nexus, The Blade.

“I wanted the film to open like an old documentary. ‘Lust & Giants’ segued perfectly out of that intro section with a hard-hitting moment. From there, the track has a nice movement built into it, with a beautiful section in the middle where everything gets stripped back. As an editor, I’m always looking for moments like this that allow me to pull the viewer in before coming back for a big finish. The track does this perfectly, allowing for a grand finale where the car is unleashed on the road,” he said when asked about the music selection.

New edit work for @johnshopkinsu with director @morton.works!

I drew a lot of inspiration from Oppenheimer for this edit, utilizing assets from @weareacidbite to help create energetic bursts of discovery and scientific wonder to intercut with the poetic voice over.

Hopefully this inspires you to pursue higher education, start a scientific venture, and change the world!

It’s always better with friends.

Got to partner with my old pals at @vokestudio to edit this spot for @thepicklr! @gavin_buckland and @tucurly4u have been absolutely killing it over there and it’s been awesome to witness their journey the last couple of years. Glad we still get to collaborate on things!!

And finally had a chance to work with the incredibly talented @blainehogan on something! Not only a director that I look up to, but also an amazing human being that I have immense admiration for.

I hope you enjoy this spot. We had a little fun making it 😏
