For years, I’ve worked with some of the biggest brands in the world: @cocacola , @toyotausa , @adidas , @disney, @mlb, @nbc @peacock . I was hired to help them reach the Hispanic consumer. I’ve worked with celebs, athletes, influencers—helping them tap into our culture to grow their platforms, boost engagement, sell product, and win awards.

We launched “Ponle Acento” with @MLB to finally get media outlets to spell our names right. I helped Toyota sell trucks by tapping into charro culture. @Adidas , we sold out the Mexican national team jersey. Ram Trucks targeted working-class Mexican men. Disney had me promote shows to Latino households. Every Hispanic Heritage Month, I get the calls. I know the playbook.

But now? Crickets.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t about politics. Obama deported people. Trump deported people. This isn’t about parties, this is about people.

I had kids miss baseball practice this week because their parents are scared. That’s what this is doing to families who are just here to work. Who’ve always been here to work. A lot of us are descendants of the Bracero program—we were invited to help build this country’s economy.

You can call us names. Fat. Wetback. Illegal. Whatever. That stuff doesn’t offend me. You know what does? Being called lazy. Because we’re not. We work harder than anyone. Always have.

Let’s be real: without Latinos, this country doesn’t function. We cook your food. Build your homes. Clean your buildings. Cut your lawns. Raise your kids. Run your kitchens. Maintain your golf courses. We fight your wars. We protect your streets.

Latinos make up nearly 20% of the U.S. military.

So I’m calling out every brand, every influencer, every celeb who’s ever profited off our culture: Post. Say something. Show up.
