While families gathered, opening gifts, reminiscing and enjoying each other’s company I couldn’t help but wonder if they understand how truly lucky they are..

As human beings we take so much for granted as if it’s always going to be there.Do people truly take the time to realize how blessed they really are?

I watched as I sat in a room full of people and still felt all alone. I miss my son, my world, my life, my everything. I wear a fake smile to appease others and hide my feelings because people don’t want to talk about your kid being dead.. they either shutdown or try to compare.

Grief is very lonely. The pain I feel each day worsens. People say with time it gets better, then I guess you’ve never lost a child. Be SO VERY thankful for that.

I miss you Corbin..
