Askonas Holt is delighted to welcome conductor Jonathon Heyward to the roster for worldwide general management.

Jonathon is Music Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; this season the orchestra announced his contract extension until 2030/31. Jonathon also holds the Artistic and Music Director positions with the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center, with whom he leads the Summer for the City Festival.

As a guest conductor, he has recently led concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, among others.

He kicked off his 2025/26 season with a performance at the BBC Proms with Chineke! Orchestra. The appearance followed his acclaimed 2021 Proms debut with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, which The Guardian hailed as “ferociously committed and incisive… exuberant, exhilarating stuff”. The summer also featured Jonathon’s debut with The Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Music Festival.

He soon returns to the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Detroit Symphony, as well as making his debut with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In Baltimore, he’ll round off this season with a full-length concert version of Rigoletto, which forms part of his multi-season ‘Verdi Opera Initiative’ which saw Angel Blue in the title role of Aida last season.

Having received his start in a school music program, Jonathon is a passionate advocate for music education and community outreach. He has been recognised among TIME magazine’s ‘Next Generation Leaders’ and Bloomberg’s ‘Ones to Watch’.

It’s going to be a hauntingly good time, with a costume party, trunk-or-treat, and spooky tunes, perfect for all ages.

Pre-concert festivities start at 1:30 PM. Concert starts at 3 PM, with trunk-or-treat following. 🎃

Baltimore City Public Schools and Head Start families can get free tickets to this performance through our Families Listen Together program!
