Young people aged 15 - 18 in the Macarthur Region of Sydney are invited to register for this free workshop where attendees will gain real-world insights into the music industry, collaborating with industry professionals and tackling creative challenges that reflect real-world music industry practice.
Kicking off from 4pm, you will explore all areas of the music industry, including music business, branding, beat making and lyric-writing.

Celebrating the release of his powerful new EP ‘REINCARNATED’, L-FRESH The LION, will perform a homecoming show at Campbelltown Arts Centre this December!
‘REINCARNATED’ explores themes of resilience, ambition, racial stereotyping, migrant struggle, and authenticity. The title track is a three-part sonic journey produced with long-time collaborator Zig Parker. It is a reflection on grief and renewal, blending moody atmospheres, heavy 808s, and soulful introspection. It features the sampled voice of L-FRESH’s late friend and close collaborator Michael McGlynn, whose spirit lives on in the music.
The evening kicks off with a pre-show hangout featuring delicious eats from Plant Based Eatery and activations by the Sydney Thunder (BBL) community engagement team. Then, get ready for a headline performance by L-FRESH The LION, with support from Saif, and DJ sets by aywy and MAANIA—a celebration of the sounds and spirit of Western Sydney.

The Sydney Awards recognise the achievements of people whose impact drives Sydney to be a vibrant, thriving city. This year, L-FRESH is nominated for the 'Unsung Hero' award, recognising his powerful commitment to mentoring emerging artists in the Western Sydney hip-hop scene.
As Artistic Director of the Campbelltown Arts Centre's Conscious program, L-FRESH has helped shape a generation of socially engaged artists, amplify Western Sydney voices, and build lasting community connections through music and storytelling.
Since 2019, Conscious has supported socially minded hip-hop artists by connecting them with their communities and placing Western Sydney stories centre stage locally and beyond. The program offers mentorship and professional development, commissions original music and video projects, and creates platforms for artists to perform, share their practice, and build industry relationships.

UPSKILL was created for practicing artists already releasing music, performing regularly or actively working in the industry and navigating their next steps.

And that’s a wrap!
'Conscious FIRST' is a powerful music development program designed to connect and elevate rising First Nations Hip-Hop and RnB stars from Western Sydney.
For its first iteration, the ‘Conscious FIRST’ program paired acclaimed Conscious Alumni artist Becca Hatch (@beccaxhatch) with up-and-coming talent RIAH (@riah_alone), two RnB powerhouses from Campbelltown.
Becca participated in a residency supporting her practice and the next steps of her career, while also mentoring RIAH on her artistic journey, culminating in the release of a new track, 'Motherslove', a heartfelt tribute to all deserving mothers.
