Nadia Struiwigh is a Rotterdam-born, Berlin-based artist whose music travels from lush ambience to the driving mechanics of techno and electro. Enthralled from a young age by the Warp school of electronica and leftfield downtempo, she has developed an exacting approach to her craft, always in service of something more essential: music that emerges from a very human need to communicate and connect.

Nadia shares: “Birds of Paradise was born from a transformative period living in Australia, colourful, expressive and a bit wild, moving between ambient, jungle and electronica. Genres have never been separate worlds for me, each one simply carries a different emotional colour, and I love moving through all of them.
This live set is that album in motion, woven together with unreleased tracks that share the same spirit, improvised and alive, unpredictable and very much in the flow.”

A esto se suma la curaduría visual de @beeldjutters , creando un entorno sensorial que acompaña y transforma la experiencia.

Todo ello alrededor de una cena a cargo del chef español de @minka_culinarycommunity , que nos sorprenderá con una propuesta de comida consciente.

El encuentro tendrá lugar en un apartamento patrimonio histórico de Catalunya, a pasos de la Plaza Cataluña.

Communion makes its Paris debut this Saturday night at À La Folie. @alafolie.paris
For this special occasion, we’ve invited two DJ artists with a truly unique musical vision: @apsaya_____ and @va.lo.dy , whose sets move dynamically through different moods and styles within Techno.
We also celebrate and welcome our collective’s residents: @algreco and @zandoly_ . Together, the four of them will take us on an unforgettable journey on the À La Folie dancefloor.
On the visual side, @alisonrc_ brings her TouchDesigner creations, a signature blend of florals and distortions while @nrvz.diego wraps us in his laser installation.
If you’re in Paris, don’t miss this Communion night; a sensory experience and exploration of extraordinary talent from the DJ and digital visual arts world.

Pour cette occasion spéciale, nous avons invité deux artistes DJ : Apsaya et Valody, dont les sets traversent dynamiquement différentes tonalités et styles au sein de la Techno avec une sélection stylée.

Her sonic identity blends hypnotic, nostalgia-infused, rhythm-driven techno, drawing from the raw pulse of the early 2000s while integrating contemporary textures and refined structures. Her sets move between percussive intensity and more meditative moments.

As a FLINTA and BIPOC artist, she is committed to expanding representation and fostering deeper consciousness within the scene. Through Communion, she aligns with a community that approaches sound with care, prioritizing inclusivity, artistic integrity, and multidisciplinary expression.

With this release we launch the Communion Resident Series, where each set unfolds as a seasonal narrative. This first winter chapter is curated by our dear Zoe.
