I’m in the UK currently seeing family and getting a great amount of writing done. It’s been a lovely holiday. While here in Liverpool, England, I had the honor of speaking at Springwood Heath Primary School as a guest speaker. I spoke about the history of comics, how comics are produced with all the many roles it takes to make it happen, and my journey as a comics writer & retailer. Most importantly we discussed the power of comic books as a tool for learning how to read, which was a key component for myself as a kid when learning to read and getting me interested in reading.
When my Auntie Julie asked me to come to the school, I knew I couldn’t come empty handed. The amazing people at @forbiddenplanet Liverpool were able to track down copies of the @archiecomics Free Comic Book Day 2026 release which I have a story in, so every student was able to get a free comic. Many of the students said it was their first comic ever.
Thanks Forbidden Planet for making it happen! 💚

It’s been one week since I got to witness the Jack Kirby Way street naming ceremony in New York City and I can’t stop smiling over it. It was my first day ever in NYC, I couldn’t have gotten a better introduction to the Big Apple. From the moment I got to my hotel and wandered around the city, it felt like I was living in a Marvel comic. That feeling sure did amplify when I was walking down the street next to the Fantastic Four!
Jack Kirby is the co-creator of countless comic book creations that I hold dear and sacred to my comics lovin’ heart. I always describe the King of Comics as a pantheon of pop culture, because that is exactly what he is. I have been a die-hard Kirby fan since I was 12 years old when I opened up the Bicentennial Captain America treasury sized comic and I instantly needed to lay my eyes upon all the Jack Kirby comics that I possibly could. There were a lot of factors to opening up my first store in Newbury Park, CA but Jack Kirby living there towards his later years was a big component to why I chose that part of town to open up.
Being on the streets of New York where Jack Kirby grew up, witnessing him get the recognition he endlessly deserves, and hearing words and tales from his family & other comic book legends was just so special. The air was electric, you could feel the “Kirby Krackle”. Being around a street full of fellow Kirby fanatics, sharing this moment was the coolest.
After the event, I got to check out some original Kirby pieces at the @ajhsnyc which was FANTASTIC to say the least. I highly recommend going!
I want to thank my amazing long time friend @ltlcosplay for having me accompany him & the legendary @therealsteranko for the day and I wanna thank the amazing folks at Marvel for having me join the later festivities. @comixace said I had the best introduction to New York City that I could have ever had and I most definitely have to agree with her! What a day! I love comics!
Long live the King of comics.

What an incredible night at the @thinkingbinc 30th Anniversary Gala in NYC! To say I am honored and thankful to have been part of this special event would be an understatement. BINC is an organization very dear to my heart. They do the lords work, helping out book stores, comic shops, and their staff when needed most. An organization consisting of some of the most amazing and kind individuals that I have ever met.
A major highlight was getting to hang out with the great people from @madcavestudios @kodanshamanga and @tokyopop!
Congrats to my dear friend and colleague Marco Davanzo of Alakazam Comics on winning the Unsung Hero award for everything he does for @wearecomicspro! So deserved. Marco is the best.
And of course the best part of the night was hanging with @judeykalchik, one of my favorite people ever, a literal angel.
Congrats to BINC on 30 years!!!!
I love comics (and books)!!! 📚 💚

This morning our copy of Action Comics #1, the first appearance of Superman sold at @heritageauctions for a final sale price of $1,150,000. We have to wait for the official breakdown to be generated for an exact number but based off this number, that’s a minimum of $10k at least that will be donated each to @thinkingbinc, @heroinitiative, and @wearecomicspro based off of the agreed upon % that’s in our contract with the original owner. Congrats to the new owner of the holy grail of comic books! Up, up, and away!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2026! Here are a couple of my favorite pics and clips from my FAVORITE day of the year! A day where comic readers and collectors in Ventura County get 50+ free comics and a day where so many people get their FIRST comic. It was our biggest turnout in attendance and sales EVER! I couldnt be more thankful. I am eternally grateful for the thousand+ people who came out between all locations, my amazing hard working team for helping make this day happen, and of course the special guests & local artists (including @ignitionpress) for being part of the big day! This year was also our biggest turnout yet for our FCBD Food Drive. Two whole pallets of canned food were donated to @foodsharevc!!! So awesome. Really stoked we have been able to turn this event into something that gives back to this community.
A couple of highlights for me was of course the Sensory Friendly Night which we host with our friends over at @thearcofventuracounty because I want everyone to enjoy this day, signing hundreds of the Free Comic Book Day @archiecomics release, and of course getting to sign @imagecomics LOST FANTASY #9 for the first time with my collaborator @eamonwinkle who so kindly gifted me the original artwork for his cover to this month’s upcoming issue #10! So sick. WOW.
I love comics. I love making them. I love promoting them. I love selling them. I love giving them out. I love comics.
