Thanks to funding from Sport England, we have been working in partnership with the Canal & River Trust to help schools in Greater Manchester to get their after school clubs outdoors and active in nature this academic year through the ALPINE project (Active Learning and Play in the Natural Environment).

The CLOtC team enjoyed a wonderful day in London, taking in some of the capital’s most iconic sights 🌞

We had a wonderful visit to the Tower of London, who have recently applied for the LOtC Quality Badge. Highlights included the Crown Jewels and the White Tower, with the historic stone buildings looking particularly majestic in the winter sunshine.

A huge thank you to the Learning team at @historicroyalpalaces for organising our visit. It was great to see some educational visits in action as we explored the site.

After a quick stop for a much needed cuppa, we hopped on a Thames Clipper and enjoyed a different perspective of London from the water. As the sun set, the illuminated skyline provided the perfect backdrop to reflect on a memorable day of learning outside the (office!) classroom.

The CLOtC team enjoyed a wonderful day in London, taking in some of the capital’s most iconic sights 🌞
