𝐈’𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞! 👋🙋🏻♂️2026 is calling for a new step. I wanted to offer a proper welcome and hello (and thank you) to anyone new finding this page. Grab a chair and get cozy.🤍📚🍵
Most of you may know me from my most visible work: photography. Some through design. Some through creative meetups! Some through fitness classes even.
Clarence.Creates is me putting everything in one place and materializing my little online bookstore fantasy where I am letting the full picture live (and laugh 🤣~) together. There’s a lot I’m brewing and I want to share it all equally.
This pinned post is a little “start here” for anyone who is new to my work: who I am, what I actually do, my lens, and ways we can create together in the new year!! 📕🖋️📝
P.S If you made it all the way here, no I’m not a father 🤣

𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫, 𝐢 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐩 🍚🫚🌾 Swipe to see why.
In one of my earlier visual essays, I mentioned @creative.quests — a month-long cohort where we explore a theme together (mine was 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐬) and make something from it. This shoot came right after that, though I only managed to complete it now!
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭
The series is titled 疆界 (meaning: border/boundary). It’s a representation of what my creative process feels like. It’s a map of my inner landscape as an 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐏. Where are my fellow INFPs at? 😉
I learned of Pangu — the primordial Chinese being whose body became the land — and it was a fun metaphor for how creating is like part deep excavation, part giving part of myself away 𝙖𝙣𝙙 part energy source.
The choice to go for alienesque food to convey the land was because of the wordplay on other Chinese words that sound the same — 薑 (ginger) 🫚and 殭 (zombie). 🧟♂️
What sticks with me most is how serendipitous it was to find the right people within a week to make this happen. I told @nicolesoo_mua and @growingtkaronto, “I want to build a landscape out of rice and ginger! 🤪”— and even though it sounded far-fetched, it clicked.
@growingtkaronto brought in an incredible mushroom mounds, alien tulips, sprouted potatoes to build the set. @nicolesoo_mua created a slow blooming glow makeup that tied everything together, and thank you to @thevincentng and @gavin20001 for moving through the delicate set with such grace that the whole thing came alive.
I’d love to hear what these images spark in you. Also speaking of being ok with messy, SPOT THE TYPO 😂.
Thank you thank you to everyone involved.

𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫, 𝐢 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐩 🍚🫚🌾 Swipe to see why.

Map The Room is a dinner that makes the invisible visible - patterns, overlaps, and the quiet things you have in common with strangers.
This edition explores roots: what shaped us and what we want to carry forward.
Through visuals, creative prompts, and play you’ll see the perspectives of the whole room.
I’ve always been enchanted by a feeling in films and TV: people coming together through a chance encounter and slowly realizing they’re more connected than they thought.
🗺️ #maptheroom is my encounter. 🗺️
A dinner shaped by the people in it: their interests, overlaps, and unexpected threads between them.
Last week, I just completed my fourth one, a special collaboration with @asianqueeralliance. 💕 The questions explored our roots: what shaped us and our desires in what we want to return and grow into. We revisited @yuehtungrestaurant where I first prototyped this evening.
Thank you for following and supporting this new practice of mine.
…And here’s my opportunity to plug my obsession with Widow’s Bay, the latest show to completely hook me with that exact feeling. Boroughs is next…

What’s the connection between my life as a fashion photographer and my practice in lettering?
This is how I see and I’ve designed an experience around it.

Is there a line (from a book, a song, a film, or a saying in your language) that has stayed with you? Something you return to, even quietly?
Introducing Lyrical Lettering, hosted by @clarence.creates . A creative afternoon exploring how to capture meaningful words into an experimental letterform piece.
Paper, pencils, pens, and all you need are provided. Just bring a few sentences or words that you hold close.
Excited to bring @clarence.creates to Again Again! Clarence is a designer and artist working across different creative mediums, including photography, lettering, and data visualization. He creates participatory spaces where people can explore ideas in their own way, through making, reflection, and shared process.

Creative people often don't share their work because of doubt. “I’m not good enough.” “I don’t belong.” Clarence Kitt believed the negative story in his head… until Release Day last year changed his mindset. Read his story on the CreativeMornings blog and get inspired to release your own project. @clarence.creates

The last time someone wrote about me, it felt a little different.
It’s strange reading this article about me from 12 years ago, especially as I didn’t know about it.
At the time, what I was going through drove how I spoke about myself…so it makes sense that Bloomberg’s journalist led with that angle.
Last month, I got a really fun opportunity to share my story again with @creativemorning , and it made me realize how much has shifted in how I see myself and my experiences.
I still carry that part of my story, but it’s not the one that leads anymore…
Thank you to everyone who is here for seeing, supporting and shaping my present story 🫶❤️.
