Christian Bevan is a producer, writer, and trained actor, and has worked as a script reader for major production companies and trained in Script Editing at the National Film and Television School.
After studying at Oxford and LAMDA, Christian founded Studio Liminal, a production company dedicated to telling bold, transformative stories that explore the spaces between spaces on the edge of transformation. Studio Liminal is committed to working in a cooperative, ethical way, championing films that challenge, provoke, and illuminate, especially regarding women-led stories.
Christian’s work includes producing Eternal Words for a Dead Verse starring Danny Dyer, and writing, directing, and producing the multi-award-winning TONIC and Mother Must Be Fed. His play TAKO explored isolation and connection through theatre, themes that resonate deeply with A Heart is a Beach.

Exciting news! The score for short film Mother Must Be Fed will be out on 25th April.
It was awesome working with writer director @cjbevan on his short film and I look forward to his production company launch @studioliminal_ on 26th April 😁

We landed on the concept ‘Life’s visceral elements’, a buoyant direction that doesn’t take itself too seriously while the play explores the blood, sweat and tears of relationships and their associated parts.
The centrepiece of the design is a photographic representation of the title of the play, Tako, meaning Octopus in Japanese, and serves to remind the audience that these experiences are universal and smack us straight in the face when we least expect it.
