Please, DO NOT put tanglers in Big Green.
Items like cords, hoses, and string lights are called tanglers because they get tangled in our machines. If you are getting rid of these items, please put them in Big Blue!

Please join our friends over at @cityofokc and their Stormwater Quality Management Division on July 5th to help pick up trash on the Oklahoma River!
Date: July 5th
Time: 9am - 11am
Location: 2021 S Robinson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73109

We want your help. You're invited to help name a new, larger-than-life sculpture to be installed outside the MAPS 4-funded OKC Louisa McCune Animal Welfare Center.
The new center is currently under construction behind the existing facility.
People can view a rendering of the artwork and vote for their favorite name among these four finalists at vision.okc.gov.
- Windy
- Willow
- Oakie
- Thunderdog
Voting closes June 30, 2026. The name with the most votes will be the sculpture’s official title when it's installed – scheduled for late fall.

Spring is a great reminder to reset the small habits that matter, including recycling.
If you’re cleaning out closets, garages, or junk drawers, make
sure you’re sorting correctly before it goes into your Big Green Cart.
When in doubt, throw it out!

Sparkling Water. Diet Soda. Whatever you’re drinking, the empty can doesn’t belong in the trash.
Aluminum cans are easy to recycle. Just toss them in Big Green clean, empty, and dry.
