Running the experimental label and event series Archaic Vaults, Severin Black has been forming a worldwide community around marginal music since 2020. Their live practice centres around the sonic spectrums of ethereality and dissonance using clarinet and feedback improvisation. This has led to collaborations with Pavel Milyakov, Flora Yin-Wong, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Vanessa Bedoret, Chantal Michelle and Owen Pratt, performing in spaces such as the ICA (London), KM28 (Berlin), Le Poisson Rouge (New York), Mission To Seafarers (Melbourne) and on a giant pipe organ in a north-east London church.

Circular Ruins is the project of Netherlands-born, Berlin-based musician and visual artist Marijn Degenaar. Circular Ruins weaves together arcane, oneiric, wistful and wishful ambient soundscapes by way of analog synthesis. An astral free-float through imagined eras and landscapes, as well as a hazy reflection on the cracked mirrors of the now. Marijn sonic output spans spectrum of music, performance and soundtrack for film.

Abigail Toll is a sound artist and composer who makes a beguiling mix of abstract minimalism, pensive drone and thrumming electronics (Boomkat). Her artistic research explores interspecies resonance through folk music, field recordings and data. Her debut record Matrices of Vision (rel. Shelter Press, 2023) focuses on the sonic and emotional potential of data and harmonics. Currently, her live solo shows synthesize her interest in the trance-inducing psychoacoustics of neolithic temples and noise.

“Hazy memories alternate with pearls of wisdom. Confusion and clarity. Light within the shadow. I don’t recognize myself. Am I newly born, or have I never existed? I don’t know where I am, yet I know this place. Ancient postures. Enigmatic spells. Futile potions. I wish I could count, but time doesn’t exist here. Am I the only one who hears this siren? A dance like a mirage emerges.”
