“We’ve got 36 cameras and need to start editing on site as soon as possible”… say no more. When @instavivid approached us to handle this job for @nikelondon we got to work on a tech plan right away. With 2 mac studios offloading via 10 Gigabit Ethernet for a total of 20 Gigabit throughput to their SSD NAS - even Mo Farah couldn’t have done it any quicker 😉. This allowed the 4 editors to start cutting straight away working directly from the shared storage.

Today, we celebrate our very own Judy Tett—co-founder and 50% owner of Cinevation.

The DIT industry has made progress toward inclusivity, but there’s still a long way to go. A quick look at the industry shows that, as far as we can tell, no large DIT companies in the UK currently have a female company director. While the tides are changing, there are still barriers to break down. And change starts at the top.

We may still be an incredibly small company, but every decision we make is driven by a commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate how far we’ve come—and every other day, we remind ourselves of where we need to go.

Bit of an old one now... But frankly we’re better at offloading footage than uploading to instagram 😉 This lovely shoot for @bbccreative gave us lots on insight to the inner workings of the BBC radio 4 studios. IYKYK! Alex & Judy provided DIT & Playback for this shoot ensuring everything went as smooth as possible. Great work from the whole team!

When a client calls and asks if you can run playback graphics across multiple 3-meter screens for an Aston Martin shoot, you say yes. We had an amazing time working with the @wingldn team, providing full-service support and just “making it work.”

We also assisted the talented @nick_bennettdop with lighting an interview by strategically shifting white boxes on the screen to add supplemental light. This was crucial for completing the shoot within a tight turnaround.

Out today, a super fun job we worked on for @zara & @harry_lambert

On this job we provided video playback and created a last minute onset edit to display on the CRT monitors.

We had a real mix of hi and lo fi cameras on this one, an old school VHS camera, a Arri SR3 and an Alexa 35. All shot by the one and only @martinsenyszak

For the onset edit we needed speed, 5 minutes after being told about the edit, we rigged @alexdowfx , the DIT, to our 10gigabit network and made his shuttle drive into our rapid working storage. This allowed us to use his graded proxies to cut a little teaser together in less than 2 hours.

- The more you know technically, the more you can achieve creatively 👌🏼
