Intrinsicity - Audio Video DVD Album by Matt Swift Teaser

Intrinsicity is a 2023 analog synthesizer and video art album by Matt Swift. Intrinsicity is an exploration of sound and image as an expression of longing for natural connection to the world and others that has been difficult to find given the recent pandemic, politic strife, and impending threats of warfare.

The album features 12 tracks that make up a poem that that includes self created audio visual works performed and recorded in a single take. The 12 tracks feature analog audio video synthesizers to tell a story combined with text.

Intrinsicity is published as a custom DVD that features a special behind the scenes track and access links to the 12 original tracks as a youtube playlist and the audio only tracks with an additional 20 minute live recorded session on soundcloud.

Edison Voicewriter dictation device from the early 1950s. With a new belt this device now plays and records.The recording that you hear is from 1953. I have also devised capture method for the recordings.

Recordings from this device will be used in a future video.

I guess I'm digging out the "Tree of Knowledge" installation. At the moment I have 43 working phones.
