A former @alvinailey dancer who worked with Mr. Alvin Ailey himself, Christopher brings not only incredible artistry, but wisdom, intention, and a deep love for the craft into every class.

The Partnering Summer Intensive hosted by Pinellas Dance Collective is a program designed for driven dancers committed to honing their technique this summer.

This intensive will take place June 1st-5th, 9:00 am-3:30 pm at The Bridge Dance Complex (100 1st Ave SW, Largo, FL 33770)

Five days of calculated, intense dance training in ballet, pointe, contemporary, classical partnering, body contact, floorwork, and theater jazz. This year we will have three levels for ages 7-10, 11-13, and 13 and up!

The total cost for this intensive is $500; we are taking 75$ deposits to hold your spot (this will be a part of the total $500 tuition).

THE LIST // Poignant, haunting, and moving… Christopher Huggins’ The List portrays the harrowing experience of a Jewish family of four living in Krakow, Poland during the Holocaust in 1941.

On January 14, Ballet Palm Beach will present an evening show of The List at The Kravis Center at 7:00pm, with a cocktail reception at 6:00pm.

Tickets are complimentary and available at the link in bio (send us a dm for inquiries).

Four schools shows will be performed January 13-14 at 11:00am and 1:00pm. Some seats may still be available for additional students still interested in attending— please contact millieeyeington@gmail.com

Christopher has worked closely with Ballet Palm Beach’s professional company on several occasions, specifically with his revered piece “The List” and the striking work “In The Mirror.” It is a very exciting opportunity for the pre-professional students to take class from Christopher and learn his unique combinations and choreographic style.

About Christopher Huggins:
Since his departure from the esteemed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Christopher has spent several years working as a freelance artist. As a dancer, master teacher, and choreographer he has worked in five European countries, Japan, and the US. Originally from Boston MA, Christopher trained under Andrea Herbert Major, Danny Sloan, and Martha Gray. He studied at the State University of New York at Purchase along with the Juilliard School at Lincoln Center. Christopher has also made guest artist appearances for many dance companies throughout the US and abroad. He was featured as a performer for the Essence Awards, along with Broadway’s A Few Good Men and Debbie Allen’s musical Soul Possessed at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta. In 2002, he was arecipient of the Ira Aldridge Award for best Choreography from the Black Theater Alliance in Chicago for his work Emmy Behind the Gates for Philadanco.
