🏳️‍🌈🎸 Thank you to everyone to came out to “Pride at Petrie: Queer Bands Take The Met!” Heart-filled thank you to @metlivearts for this unforgettable opportunity 🎨💕 What an amazing time and a dream come true for this queer Harlem Kid who first visited the @metmuseum on a class trip in the 80s. My elementary school was in the Upper East Side so I passed the museum everyday, but after having experienced the breathtaking inside, I’d get both excited to see it and sad to whisk by it. Never would I have imagined, being invited to perform there but also to celebrate Pride and affirm my queerness in such loving and supportive like-energy! This is truly a new core memory unlocked and I am forever thankful 🫶🏾 HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE!! 🏳️‍🌈💕🏳️‍🌈💕🏳️‍🌈💕🏳️‍🌈

🙏🏾💕 SIP to Ms Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters who inspired this cover of “I’m So Excited” and Happy New Year to you all!! The Pointer Sisters and this song were a huge influence on me as a child and I am thankful to have received permission to cover it. This music video is the thing I’m most proud of creating in 2022 and I am grateful for everyone who helped bring this dream to fruition. I’m So Excited for 2023 and even bigger dreams!!
