Anisha Bailey, EA, MSEL, saw a gap in the workforce pipeline. Her response: fill it by creating clear paths to success.

Most people think of CPAs or attorneys when they think of taxes. But there is another profession, the Enrolled Agent (EA). Enrolled Agents are federal tax specialists with the highest credential awarded by the IRS and unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before any IRS office.

For @champlainonline alum, Bailey, this work is about protecting people and the businesses they're building. Now, she is building a workforce that can support success across industries.

Giving Day is this Wednesday, March 25, and our students have already made an impact.

A member of the Board of Trustees pledged $10,000 for Giving Day! $5,000 is going to the areas of greatest need in the Champlain Fund. The other half? Our campus community members get to decide! Catch us around campus this week, asking folks about the areas of Champlain that mean the most to them.

After college, Care Verikas ‘12 experienced what many recent graduates do: job hopping, searching, and trying to understand where she belonged. Through each role, she learned what she loved and what she didn’t, building the foundation for what would come next.

Now, Verikas is the co-founder of two thriving businesses in Bristol, Connecticut: @dustydudewoodworks and @thebristolbazaarct.
