Life is a BLESSING. I am so grateful to make my @kennedycenter debut and perform principal flute in the Black Radio Orchestra led and conducted by @dhodgeworld with @robertglasper, @lalahhathaway, @bilalmusic, @officialmeshell, @affioncrockett, @kyle_abraham_original_recipe, Amir Sulaiman, and my amazing fellow orchestra musicians! After completing my Master’s degree in Flute Performance, I transitioned into development work with the New World Symphony—stepping away from the performing world I had cherished deeply. Following six rewarding years in the nonprofit sector and five years devoted to raising our wonderful children, I’m finally returning to my first love: teaching the flute.

My longtime friend @ceylonmitchell and I spent years practicing, performing, and teaching flute side by side during our time in Boston. When I reached out to Ceylon for advice, he instinctively understood the creative longing I was feeling and, after an open conversation about my next chapter, he wholeheartedly encouraged me to return to teaching.

As fate would have it, Ceylon had an exciting project in Miami and suggested we take the opportunity to capture new headshots while he was in town with his media and marketing business @m3mitchellmedia . I’m so grateful our schedules aligned—he made the process effortless and enjoyable. Thanks, friend!!

You don’t need a lot of gear to get great results! Stephany and I go way back to our college years playing the flute together (yup, I’m a flutist), so it was an honor working together on her branding photoshoot. Special thanks to her husband for the lighting assist and her cute boys for keeping things fun!
