푸르던 나뭇잎이 다양한 색으로 익어가며 낙엽이 되어 떨어지고 나무들은 새 호흡을 가다듬을 준비를 합니다. 모든 것들이 완숙해지는 10월, 나뭇잎이 낙엽이 되고 새 잎을 돋을 준비를 하는 가을과 닮은 전시를 준비했습니다.

미숙함에서 성숙함으로, 그리고 아직 도달하지 못한 완숙함을 향해 나아가는 여정 속에서, 우리는 여전히 배우고, 성장하며, 서로를 응원합니다. 이번 전시가 그 과정을 함께 느끼고 나눌 수 있는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.

#가브리엘룰 @gabrielle.rul 의 첫 번째 서울 전시《[아] 파트([a] part)》는 불어로 ‘특별하다’의 ‘a part’와 영어로 ‘떨어져 있다’의 ‘apart’ 두 의미를 모두 내포한다. 파란색은 군중을, 빨간색은 자신을 의미한다고 덧붙인 그녀의 이번 전시는 꼭 ‘떨어져 있지만 우린 여전히 특별해’하며 흐느끼는 가브리엘식 ‘애수의 소야곡’인 것 같다.

총 두 개 층에 이어질 본전시는 1층에 서울 에디션 세 점 포함 열여섯 점의 드로잉이, 2층에 라이브 페인팅 퍼포먼스가 준비되어 있다.

#GabrielleRul ’s first Seoul exhibition,《[a] part》, encapsulates both the French meaning of ‘a part’(special) and the English meaning of ‘apart’(separate). She adds that blue represents the crowd, and red represents herself. This exhibition seems to be Gabrielle’s way of expressing a ‘nocturne of melancholy,’ whispering that ‘even though we are apart, we are still special.’

The exhibition spans two floors, with sixteen drawings, including three Seoul editions, on the first floor, and a live painting performance on the second floor.
