This is an ongoing workshop that addresses fundamental and advanced improv skills. The focus will be on staying grounded, making interesting choices and saying yes, with a little game of the scene mixed in. Students pay for the month. We’re hoping to accumulate a core group of regulars who end doing this months in a row. Next month’s classes will be posted at the beginning of the month, and we’ll email recent students to let them know.

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary with a one-night comedy event at Memorial Hall OTR on April 22, featuring nationally known improvisers from TV, film, and some of the country’s most influential comedy theatres.

Headlining the show is Bluebird, a touring improv collective that includes performers like Matt Walsh (Veep, co-founder of Upright Citizens Brigade), Marc Evan Jackson (The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Brad Morris (AP Bio), and Joe Canale (The Mindy Project, Second City Mainstage). Their performances are completely improvised and built from conversations with audience members at the start of the show.

Also performing is Orange Tuxedo, the Los Angeles improv duo of Craig and Carla
Cackowski, known internationally for their show Close Quarters, which creates deeply character-driven scenes from a single shared location.

This show at Memorial Hall is the centerpiece of a FULL week of anniversary programming, including shows featuring Improv Cincinnati’s house teams and workshops with visiting artists.
