Rafayel and Sylus are two of our shyest cats here at Catoro. If you’ve visited the Cat Forest lately, Rafayel was likely curled up in his favourite little cat house with a blanket of protection draped over the top.

If you’ve visited, you probably haven’t seen Sylus before. He’s been living in our towel rack in the back room for several months.

Rafayel and Sylus are starting to slowly open up to their trusted humans here at Catoro. They are both timid, skittish young cats. However, they both have made a lot of progress in their time here and we are starting to see their affectionate sides now.

If you are interested in adopting this very cute pair of brothers, please come visit them! Our team would be happy to tell you all about these cutie patooties.

Reservations recommended :) you can book in advance on our website.

Meet Finn. While some cats make great emotional support companions, Finn actually needs an emotional support human. Finn is a big scared baby who needs constant attention and reassurance. Physical touch and words of affirmation are his love languages, so be prepared to spend a lot of your day petting him and telling him he’s a good boy. Seriously, he would really like it if you were home a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

Finn is scared of children, loud voices, sudden movement and people who walk directly towards him while making eye contact. However, he is very very brave and has been hunkered down in a quiet corner of the Cat Forest when things get a little overstimulating.

Finn loves chin scratches and head butting your face really hard. He is pretty squirmy and not great at being picked up yet. Finn is surprisingly very smart and active so would benefit from enrichment activities like clicker training.

If you would like to apply to be Finn’s emotional support human, come down and meet him here at Catoro Cat Cafe in East Vancouver. We are located at 666 East Broadway and recommend that you make a booking before visiting. Admission is $18 per person and kids must be age 5 or older to enter. 😊

Somehow, our weird little cat cafe is still here.

Every month at Catoro Cafe, we spend tens of thousands of dollars keeping rescue cats safe, fed, socialized, medicated, cleaned up after, and emotionally supported (honestly some of them have stronger support systems than we do).

Behind the bubble tea and cute cat photos is:
• emergency vet bills
• mountains of litter
• intake costs
• enrichment and cleaning supplies
• staff care
• rescue coordination
• rent in Vancouver (terrifying every month tbh)

Over the years, this community has helped us rescue and rehome thousands of cats while creating a safe space for people too.

If Catoro has ever made you smile, helped you through a hard time, introduced you to your soulmate cat, or simply given you a quiet place to exist for an hour, we’d really appreciate your support right now.

We’ve launched monthly support subscriptions on our website to help keep the cats cared for long-term. Even a few dollars a month genuinely helps stabilize rescue operations and allows us to continue taking in cats who need us.

You can also support us by:
• visiting the cafe
• sharing this post
• booking with friends
• buying merch or bubble tea
• adopting
• telling people we exist!!!!!!!!

Thank you for helping us continue our little Cat Forest.

NOT sorry for being feral. 🐈

This week, Rafayel is our Nice Cat of the Week. Rafayel and his brother Sylus have been waiting for adoption since arriving at Catoro in August 2025. They are both shy, timid cats who will need a patient adopter to help them feel safe and comfortable.

Rhea Ripley entered the Cat Forest like a wrestling ring and is determined to become the Catoro 2026 World Champ. She's gonna fight her way to the top - whether the other cats know that or not!

When she's not jumping off the ropes, Rhea loves gentle pets from trusted humans. She would thrive in a calm, quiet environment where she is the only pet in the home.

We have some exceptionally sweet new cats in the Cat Forest! We also have lots of very adorable but very shy cats currently available for adoption in our back room.

We currently care for 32 rescue cats here at our cat cafe. We pay for the cats’ food, litter, some medical bills and lots of other costs associated with their care while they’re waiting to be adopted.

If you would like to support our mission to find loving forever homes for rescue cats, consider dropping by for a visit to meet our kitties and learn more about what we do!

Advance bookings strongly recommended.

Bree and Finn have entered the Cat Forest 🫡

Bree is a female domestic shorthair orange and white tabby. Did you know only 20-25% of orange cats are female? It’s much more likely for orange cats to be male ☺️

Bree is a confident, sweet, affectionate and playful young cat. She gets along well with other cats and is good with kids.

Finn is a male domestic shorthair orange and white tabby. Finn is shy but he is very sweet and loves other cats. He would be a great companion cat if you have a friendly cat who is lonely 👀

Bree & Finn are now available to meet and adopt in the Cat Forest!

Few things we love more than a good before-and-after ✨

Or in this case… after, then before, then after, then before again, because the glow-up is just tooooo good not to lead with.

@revive.vancouver Awning Cleanings totally transformed@catoropets awning - it’s sparkling, refreshed, and looking nearly brand new!! Such a satisfying refresh for spring and always nice to bring a little sparkle to Broadway 🌿✨

If you’re thinking about a seasonal clean and want your storefront looking its best for summer, we can’t recommend @revive.vancouver enough!

Edward is the sweetest, cuddliest and most affectionate cat. He is part of a bonded pair with his best friend Alphonse and they must be adopted together.

Edward and Alphonse are both turning 2 this year and they’ve already been adopted and surrendered back twice.

They would thrive in a calm and patient hooks where someone is always around. Edward takes a daily anxiety medication to help reduce stress.

Edward & Alphonse both love to play and will bring someone SO much joy and loving companionship.
