🎬 During the 1950s and 1960s, jazz was featured in many Italian film scores, especially in crime, comedy, and experimental cinema.

🎼 Composers such as Piero Umiliani and Armando Trovajoli were known for blending jazz with orchestral and popular music styles in film.

🎺 Italy developed its own jazz scene after World War II, with musicians drawing from American swing and bebop while building local clubs, festivals, and recording cultures.

📍 Cities such as Rome and Milan became important centres for jazz performance and production.

🎶 One internationally recognised piece connected to Italian jazz culture is “Mah Nà Mah Nà,” originally composed by Piero Umiliani in 1968 for the Italian film Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso.
