one year ago we opened @closefriendsbk (can you believe it, i cannot?!) and it’s been one for the books! i realized i haven’t shared much of the bts of all of the work that went into opening up the shop and sue me, your girl loves to reminisce. (spoiler alert: we had A LOT of help, learned a lot of lessons, and put in so many hours to bring the shop to life ourselves). we had so much fun renovating, although i can’t say I miss my hair and hands being covered in paint for an entire month straight. there were high highs, like lucking out with an incredible landlord who wanted to bring our vision to life and helped us out in countless ways, and low lows, like buying $3500 of the wrong flooring and realizing that only after it had been delivered. swipe to see a small part of the shop renovation journey including some major jump scares of the space we inherited and our jungle of a backyard!
