Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer! 

@caratoes is a Belgian–Hong Kong multidisciplinary artist creating monumental portraits of women of color that explore identity, emotional excavation, and inner duality. Working across large-scale murals, installation, painting, and performance, her practice grew from graffiti in Hong Kong after early creative work in Amsterdam and at Wieden+Kennedy. Living nomadically for over a decade, she has been commissioned internationally, including projects for the Facebook office in Hong Kong, transforming public and private spaces into powerful reflections of cultural hybridity and self-discovery.

Created for the FIFA World Cup, “Red Devils” is a tribute to Belgium’s national team and the unifying power of football. The composition draws from the bold red, yellow, and black of the Belgian flag, grounding the piece in national pride and identity. Circular elements echo the form of a soccer ball, symbolizing movement, momentum, and the way sport transcends borders to connect cultures worldwide. In the background, a cedar tree branch honors the Indigenous peoples of Seattle, where the match will be held, acknowledging the land’s native heritage and weaving local cultural respect into a global celebration of sport.

We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Find them all featured on the Unity Loop inside the SEA&WIN mobile app game. Explore the city, earn points, win prizes, and even score World Cup match tickets on us.

@conradstojak found this horse trashed on a Manhattan sidewalk and rolled it all the way to my residency, looking for shelter, I took it as a sign.
I usually build dragons and serpents , so a horse arriving like that felt intentional.
Working on this piece became a gift while I process my grandparents leaving this realm. Maybe it didn’t “make sense” to pour so much energy into it… but when does art ever truly make sense? When energy needs to shift, to move, to transform ... art is the portal.

What we lose in form returns in force.
This year, we ride with fire in our veins.
Nothing about our existence is accidental.
