Mixing ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ with the legend himself, Richard Ashcroft, at Lamex Stadium over the weekend 🎥
Great experience with the @artefactstudios team delivering visuals at SMR Festival - Richard Ashcroft closing the weekend out was a highlight. His team’s request for black and white screen output really added to the vibe 🙌

Over the past year I’ve had the privilege of working on my first long-form documentary, following Rider Shafique and Vanley Burke as they look into the story behind a document known as The Slave Song.
Held in Gloucestershire Archives, the document is the world’s oldest surviving record of music sung by enslaved people. It was recorded in Barbados in the mid 1800s and is a UNESCO world heritage document that has inspired a project called Beating Back the Past, featuring the work of my friend and long time collaborator @r7gin (@eye_of_the_rider) as well as legendary documentary photographer Vanley Burke.
In December last year, Rider and Vanley traveled to Barbados to learn more about the Slave Song’s origins and the story behind it.
Outside of the topic of slavery, the documentary looks at themes around diaspora, Windrush and the ongoing effects of slavery that are still being felt by people of Caribbean descent in the UK today.
Beating Back the Past is co-curated by @lookdeepenough_ and @jacquigrange and is a partnership project led by Gloucestershire Archives and @voices.gloucester, funded by Arts Council England.

The shipwrecks beneath Coron ⚓️
📍Coron, Philippines 🇵🇭
Some of my favourite scenes from a week filming the famous Japanese shipwrecks dotted around Coron, Palawan 🎥
They were all sunk on the same day in 1944, with one exception, an oil tanker that burned for two weeks on the surface 🤯
Captured on @sonyalpha #sonyalpha A7S3 and @seafrogs.com.hk / @seafrogs_official underwater housing 👊
Thanks to @reggaedivecenter and @vanetlorenz for providing the routes through the wrecks 🙌

📍Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾
The Batu Caves were the first place most people recommended to visit in KL. It’s a complex of Hindu temples set into limestone caves in the centre of the city.
Literally thousands of people passing through either in prayer or as tourists, and a fair few monkeys keeping an out for dropped bags and food.
Pretty incredible place.
