$25 TIX: 5 NEW WORKS + KATHI ROLLS + BEVS 🤯

It’s not a CAAP event if you’re not oversharing afterwards to someone you just met with a mouthful of something delicious.

And that’s all possible thanks to our friends at @chachussydney, who are putting together a delicious spread of kathi rolls after the show, and @konpiramaru for supplying the natural wine. (Soft drinks will also be available!)

If you were at last year’s event, you already know how good the food is AND it’s all included in your ticket!

it’s selling fast, so if you want in on the hottest new work party in town, now’s the time!

We’re excited to announce that Nasim Patel, Kristina Mah, Kimie Tsukakoshi, Neda Taha and Angel Tan will be sharing new works at CAAP: IN PROCESS this June at @carriageworks !

This year, we opened a callout to artists across disciplines, asking for their boldest, strangest, rough or ready works in development. And they delivered! Expect dance, drag violin, experimental music, horror cabaret and more. You will laugh, cry, make new friends, and catch the very first outing of these works.

Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for more on each one and get your tickets before they’re gone!

At our next Spinning Plates we’re asking, “What’s on your plate?”

Share the projects (and ideas) you have on the boil, and hear what others are up to. Are you spinning too many plates? We’ll also talk strategies for figuring out what to press go on and what to pause.

Hosted by CAAP EP, Justine Shih Pearson, Spinning Plates is our almost-monthly, online, lunchtime catch-up is for Asian Australian producers and artists to connect, ask questions, and share experience. It’s a free, informal space for knowledge sharing across the country.

This one is coming up Wed 5 May, 12pm AEST.

Bring your lunch and your questions!

We’re looking for Asian Australian artists with new performance projects in any artform that haven’t been presented before. 👀

Bring us your boldest ideas. Your strangest. The ones still finding their feet. The artistic nut you haven’t quite cracked. Rough or ready, if it excites you (or scares you!), we want to see it!

Selected artists will present a 10-minute excerpt at Carriageworks as part of our annual CAAP: In Process event on 4 June 2026.

Artists will receive a $500 presentation fee, access to 2 weeks of shared rehearsal space leading up to the performance, and dramaturgical, production and documentation support from the CAAP team. We’ll work with you on how best to support both your presentation and your work.

We will be holding an info session on Mon 23 March to answer any questions you may have about the application. Keep an eye out on socials for more details.

Apply via the link in bio!

More pairs from our Ticket Club: LACRIMA night 🫂

We have had the funnest January launching Ticket Club, watching @sydney_festival shows with Asian Australian artists and they’re (non- arts) plus ones!

After watching LACRIMA, we were in complete awe of the masterful feat in storytelling that it was and got a glimpse of its creation in chatting with some of the performers after the show!

More Ticket Club events coming this year, so keep your eyes peeled to get a chance to watch great theatre with great company (for free!)
