She started with Reese’s wrappers and zero posing experience. 🍫👙

Now she’s a 3x Olympian and multiple time top 10 in the world.

Bruna had never competed before 2020. We picked a brand new division (Wellness) took her to her first NPC show, she won the overall… then went on to win USA’s overall, turn pro, and qualify for the first wellness Olympia.

The journey wasn’t perfect. There were wrappers, hard days, hungry days, and posing growing pains. But staying with one coach, learning her body, and pushing her mentally and physically every season is what turned “good genetics” into a world class athlete.

Grateful for everyone who showed up and helped make this happen.

We hosted a free posing seminar for the community, and it was all made possible by people who volunteered their time, energy, and knowledge to help others get better.

No egos. No gatekeeping. Just giving back, sharing experience, and helping athletes feel more confident on stage.

Two days out from my show, I had one of my highest carb days in weeks—even higher than my planned “high” days.

The key? I came into the show lean—my coach had me ready so nothing drastic had to be done. I was still hydrating up to a gallon daily, even leading right into show day.

From a physiology perspective, coming in depleted means your muscle glycogen is low, so when you strategically load carbs, your muscles pull in those carbs and water, creating a fuller, more vascular look on stage.

It’s a fine balance: too early, and you spill; too late, and you stay flat. So every meal on this day was calculated. It’s all about knowing how your body responds and using that data to peak at the right time.

This is where having a coach that knows YOUR body is crucial. No peak/prep is the same between athletes or even within a single athlete.

Thankfully I have @nate_seredich @builtbetterphysiques to do all the thinking for me. So my brain can turn off, I just have to execute. Not like my thinking is very efficient or existent leading up to show any ways 🤪

My favorite and best package so far ✨🥹

My goal has always been to keep improving, keep growing, and keep getting better every season. Taking time off was never an issue for me honestly, taking the whole year off was necessary mentally and physically. I knew that if I wanted to place better, look better, and bring a completely improved package, it would take time… and it would be worth it. And here’s the proof.

I don’t rush the process. I’m growing and improving in my own time.

I feel so proud of the improvements we made and how this season has been going so far. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of my placings at NY Pro and Pittsburgh Pro. We were able to bring two different looks, get valuable feedback, and now we know exactly how we want to come into the ⭕️ and which areas we still need to improve until then.

Based on my feedback , we’ll keep focusing on improving my lower body bringing more glutes and leg development while also growing my lats to create an even better V-taper in my side pose.

The work doesn’t stop here. Let’s keep working 🚀

This will be my 4th Olympia, and I can’t wait to step back on that stage ⭕️🚀

2 DAYS OUT FROM PITTSBURGH PRO🔥

For the New York Pro we pushed fullness to the max to see how the judged liked that look. She was 135.5 on stage.  Our feedback was conditioning was good and another judge wants her a little sharper but still can’t be too hard. Wants more muscle in her side pose from legs to upper body to build more V taper and get her glutes to have little deeper lines.

Leading up to Pittsburgh pro, I had to pull her food down super low and give her 2x 30 mins cardio for the first 4 days  after show, then dropped down to 20 mins fasted till thursday. This morning she was 129lbs.

She was 135.5 on stage.  Our feedback was conditioning was good and another judge wants her a little sharper but still can’t be too hard. Wants more muscle in her side pose from legs to upper body to build more V taper and get her glutes to have little deeper lines.

Watching this transformation from the very beginning, through multiple off seasons and all the way to stepping on stage throughout the years, has been special to see. It’s not often you get someone that actually sticks with a coach to learn your body over the years, let alone just follow a program consistently. 

This is what happens when you stop chasing quick fixes, thinking there is some golden secret and start stacking consistent work week after week.

Different phases, different goals, different versions of her, but every step mattered. Yes she is a busy women that works full time in navy and is a single mom BUT she still finds the time. 

The stage photos are the reward, but the real transformation happened long before that. In the early mornings, hard sessions, missed temptations, uncomfortable growth phases, and staying locked in even when progress felt slow.

Proud of this oneand were just getting started 💫💪🏽

Mission accomplished with a different look we wanted to bring. These aren’t the official stage shots yet, but this is what we have so far.

The goal for this show was to see how full I could bring her and present a different type of package going into New York Pro. Handful of these judges will also be judging the Olympia and haven’t seen her since the 2024 Olympia, so for me this was about collecting data, testing different peak approaches now and get feedback from the judgesso we can bring our best possible package to the Olympia and future shows.

The biggest adjustment this time was pushing carbs much harder to see how full we could get her while slightly softening the quads and playing more into the size game. The upside was the overall fullness we achieved. The downside, in my opinion, was although the glutes stayed full, they lost a bit of that deep 3D pop and detail.

My conclusion is that her quad fullness and conditioning are in a great place because historically her legs can come in very diced. This time I felt the glutes started to spill slightly, which took away some of the depth and illusion of size. Her tan was also too light at prejudging, which washed out some of the physique under the stage lighting.

If you never try something new, you’ll never know if there was an opportunity to become better. Every experience is just data you can apply toward future goals. Sometimes you have to take a small risk now so you can keep improving long term.

People might ask why not just do a mock peak. We do. But the body responds differently in a real show environment. Traveling, changes in routine, stress, adrenaline, and the overall pace of show day all affect the final look in ways you can’t fully replicate at home.

Now we make a few adjustments and head into Pittsburgh next weekend 🥳

❌This isn’t the final look yet… we still have more food to go, because a FULLER LOOK is the goal ✅ But I’m so proud and excited seeing everything coming together, I had to share it with you all 🥹🙏🏻

I started the carb up on Monday, and TODAY is my super high carb day. So far today I’ve had around 3400 calories 👀:

570g carbs
125g protein
59g fats
…and I still have a burger and fries for my last meal 🍔🍟🤤

Water is staying the same at 1 gallon, glucose has been staying under 90 before each meal, and salt is staying in all my meals as always. No cardio today, just a quick pump workout so coach could see what the carbs are doing to the body.

Like I mentioned before, even though we love the conditioning, we can’t step on stage looking too hard or depleted. We need a fuller look. Tomorrow we’ll continue fueling the body with more carbs, and this is the phase of peak week where coach makes adjustments basically meal by meal, watching closely how my body is responding and changing.🤌🏻

The Wellness division is all about finding that perfect balance between fullness and conditioning. We keep feeding the body to slightly soften the look while being very careful not to overdo it. We still want the lines and conditioning, just not the super deep cuts or grainy appearance. It’s honestly such a tricky process… I always say peak week is like a science 🧬🤓
