I’ve been keeping my head down so far in 2026. Playing shows, generally putting a shift in, without wanting to shout about it too much.

I’m still immensely proud of the album I put out last year, hopefully it gets a second wind, and at some point I’ll get back in the saddle, to share some of the music that’s in the vault for album II 🤘

Was great to get out and about, hop on and off the ferry continent hopping. Was also excited to get stuck into Turkish cuisine which didn’t disappoint.

Didn’t come home with a new hairline or Turkish teeth, but Villa did bring back three points and Tammy Abraham 👌

The game itself was great, entertaining and a perfect response from Villa to the Everton defeat. Putting top two in our own hands and guaranteeing a place in the round of 16.

Lots made before the game about the policing and logistics. While obviously over the top, they were very well organised and it never felt unsafe (quite the opposite in fact) all a bit inconvenient having to meet at 2pm n get coaches under a huge police escort (they shut all the roads for us lol) but once in the ground the Fenerbahce fans were brilliant and the noise made for a PROPER European away day experience. We’ve even inherited a song from them too 😂

While obviously over the top, they were very well organised and it never felt unsafe (quite the opposite in fact) all a bit inconvenient having to meet at 2pm n get coaches under a huge police escort (they shut all the roads for us lol) but once in the ground the Fenerbahce fans were brilliant and the noise made for a PROPER European away day experience. We’ve even inherited a song from them too 😂

Istanbul part I

Back from a great trip to Istanbul, such a great city with a good mix of east meets west (or rather Europe meets Asia) and old meets new. It’s equally gritty as it is awe inspiring, plus huge, sooo huge!

Was great to get out and about, hop on and off the ferry continent hopping. Was also excited to get stuck into Turkish cuisine which didn’t disappoint.

Didn’t come home with a new hairline or Turkish teeth, but Villa did bring back three points and Tammy Abraham 👌

The game itself was great, entertaining and a perfect response from Villa to the Everton defeat. Putting top two in our own hands and guaranteeing a place in the round of 16.

A question to the electronic community of the interwebs…

Do we think the landscape would be better if DJs at local level got to play the records they really wanna play in venues?

Also, the same applies to producers. Do you think the musical landscape would be more expressive if producers and acts managed to put out the musical output that that they really believe in? perhaps not pandering to the market, or a label specific sound or what a dsp or playlist or radio plays?

Are we stuck in a closed loop creatively, where we’re carrying around a ball and chain of dance musics rich history? Are we stuck in a retrospective mode, that isn’t really moving the culture forwards for the better long term? Constantly rehashing old classics and standing on the shoulders of giants?
