Thank you Athena for the amazing collaboration.Everyone knows @eyeswoon and @vcalderone have amazing taste. When we were introduced through our mutual florist friend Taylor, we clicked on what a relaxing thoughtful garden could be.After exploring multiple layouts, we trusted our guts and went with a more free form texturally driven garden. The Calderone’s like many of us are inspired by the ease of Mediterranean landscapes. Athena was on board for a more free spirited architectural plan.As a landscape designer often working in the city’s grid, this was really exciting and allowed our focus to move toward softer plantings and abohemian vibe.We will share more details to this story later. Thanks you @amyastley and the @archdigest team for the story.Thank you @william.jess.laird for the dreamy 📸. Most of all, nothing is possible without an amazing team.Shouts out to my design studio, construction team and horticultural division for bringing this magical space to life.

A special one for us: the landscape design for @calicowallpaper founders Nick and Rachel Cope’s Hudson Valley retreat. A serene canvas of texture, light, and seasonality—an exercise in site planning with the goal of human comfort in the woods and everyday connection to nature.

This 3-year comprehensive project required us to think big and plan with the family’s long-term vision in mind.
Finding the right teams, sequencing the work efficiently, setting the foundation for lasting success, and many fun days spent outside.

Repost from @eyeswoon

One last look at my former townhouse garden… I had a vision to make this space feel like a Mediterranean oasis in the middle of Brooklyn, as opposed to something structured and architectural which is more common in NYC. @Brooklandscape took on this design challenge with me— and let me tell you, Brook and his team went above and beyond! To achieve that quintessential European feel, we decided to lay a patio of Renaissance dolomite pavers from @abcstone in the center of the space. Delicate, creeping thyme in between the tiles offered an unexpected yet beautiful detail to break up the tonal monotony. The Pablo seating collection from @bebitalia’s was the final touch that brought the whole space together! Thank you @dominomag and @ravenbriana for the feature, helping pay tribute to the space and linking our to our Encyclopedia of Swoon e-book. Tap the link in bio to read the full story!

A collaboration with our friends at @averyhallinvestments, Brook Landscape’s first ground-up high-rise garden is situated in Downtown Brooklyn at @oneboerum, 250 feet above the city… designed as an escape from the busy, loud streets below.

This garden oasis offers a refuge for the community, with a range of unique programming and spaces for play and privacy.

Fooled ya. 🍃 What appears to be early Spring buds are actually a flock of parakeets.

These ring-necked parakeets have taken a liking to spring blossoms, feasting on blossoms and cutting the season short. Whole trees can shift overnight once a flock settles in.

Charming at a glance, but louder and more assertive than most residents would prefer, especially as they continue to expand across London in warmer months.

Japan does it best. 💐 You got two good options, either solar or beauty and we love the approach to this floral covered parking lot.

✓ Floating gardens over parked cars create shaded, cooler walkways.
✓ Plants cool pavement and reduce heat buildup.
✓ They filter dust, absorb stormwater, and protect vehicles.
✓ A small shift with big impact: cleaner air, cooler cities, no lost parking.

For our dear friends Nick & Rachel of @calicowallpaper, featured in @archdigest, in Upstate New York.

This multi-year project includes site planning for a pool, pool house, and a sequence of connected spaces across the estate… from parking and pond to vegetable garden and patio lounge areas. The goal was to position the house within the landscape while minimizing disturbance to the land and refining movement throughout.

A landscape that asks less of you over time, where restraint in what’s built allows the land itself to do more.

One of the great things we did with this garden was blend it with the garden across the street. We flanked the space with lush planting and added greenery behind the bench to bridge the gap to the park beyond.

We’re happy to see our project with @mkcarchitecture featured in this month’s @elledecor. 🌸

Centered around a century-old Romanesque townhouse on the Upper West Side, the project combines the home with neighboring apartments to create expansive double-wide interiors and a remarkable rear garden anchored by a 120-year-old magnolia tree.

Our landscape work introduced dining and lounge areas, elevated planting beds, lush layered greenery, and stone groundwork, shaping the garden into an immersive extension of the home.

Unique stonework brings so much to a project and sets the landscape up for success.

From a refined interior to a relaxed, textured patio, the garden’s entry point is intentionally defined, framing the plantings and allowing them to evolve beautifully throughout the season.
