Both Craig and I’s best childhood memories are camping with our families, so we wanted the same for Sutton. After many years of tent camping we thought it was time to finally get a little trailer as our ‘home away from home. Can’t wait for all the memories we make with it 🩷

I know it’s definitely possible to make these memories without a trailer, tenting but we have always dreamt of a little a-frame.

All at one of the most beautiful venues in Hudson Valley, New York. It was my first time visiting the area and it won’t be my last.

She climbed right on into the chariot this morning. 10kms done and we just chatted, looked at the trees, found all the birdies, bunnies, and deer along the way. We did bring her three favourite stuffies and snacks incase. It is truly so special to be able to include her in these activities with me 🫶🏼

First off: we’re rarely at ‘home’, we are alwaysssss doing something.

Secondly: I don’t take one minute for granted. These years are SO short and go so quick. Everyday I’m grateful for the time I get to spend with her. For a job I’ve worked at for years to be able to do so. I know quite a few Moms who wish they could stay home with their kiddos all day though financially or with their situation are just unable too. So I do realize how much of a blessing or rare it can be for me with a toddler at 20 months, to still be able to do so.

Thirdly: I’ll show people this clip and say, how can I not want to spend my days like this?

I know it’s not for everyone. Some mothers and dads are extremely career driven and that’s perfectly fine too. The world needs all types of people though this is where I want to be right now.

Women belong outside. Strong is beautiful. She’s capable of whatever she puts her mind too. Biking? Running? Climbing? Hiking? Skiing? I’m raising her to know what’s possible outdoors and will encourage her in any sport she chooses. Moving our bodies and getting into the fresh air everyday, and giving her space to learn and appreciate what nature gives us in return.
