Last week my friends @laurennavon & @brixandrick at @weirdrescue reached out telling me that a girl called Zoe was going to be euthanized the following day and asked if I could drive up to @lancasteranimalslaco to pick her up and save her and bring her back to LA so she can go to her new forever home. I was so honored and privileged to be asked that I of course said yes. So the following day I drove up there and brought this beautiful lady home. I don’t know the specifics of this sweet girl’s story and how she ended up on the kill list, but she is now looking forward to a wonderful life with her new family in Canada. This is all thanks to the incredible work of Lauren & Bri at Weird Rescue. Their speciality is making a special effort to connect the right animals with the right forever homes!!

Okay friends, it's time for our first fundraiser! If you've been around for a while, you'll remember that I ran my first (and only) fundraiser back in 2024 for Misfit Mountain and it did SO FREAKING WELL that I ended up running FOUR of them! Raising $1,200 total‼️ Let's do that again!!

My beautiful friend Lauren co-runs an amazing animal rescue called Weird Rescue. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue based in Los Angeles. They take in the overlooked, the misunderstood, and the perfectly odd animals who don't always get picked first. Their goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and give animals the greatest chance of finding permanent loving homes, and their greatest hope is to create a world in which humans have a greater understanding of, and respect for, animals of all kinds 🥹

Let's raise some money for them!! You will win a custom piece from Dictionary Dogs. All proceeds (including my profits) will be donated to Weird Rescue!✨️

• You can pick your number(s) or I can randomly assign number(s). Numbers will be given in the order that donations are received. The list will be updated every single time a spot is claimed.

Sweet Dudley boy is a doberman who is likely under 1 year old and was brought to our attention by an awesome woman who knew he needed a tribe of people to step up for him and pull him from a pound in Imperial Valley. His front right leg needed immediate attention, requiring either surgery or long term bracing. We saw his face and couldn’t resist bringing him into the Weird family!

An incredible foster in Fallbrook stepped up, and once we pulled him, we saw that he was in really bad shape. He was covered in ticks and had an open bite wound on his left front leg that was getting worse by the minute. We got him to the vet and as expected, the infection was pretty deep and he would need surgery and a myriad of other tests related to the condition he was in. While in surgical prep, x-rays revealed that the bite did much more than soft tissue damage; it also caused a severe break to his humorous. This means both front legs will need intense and immediate medical attention for potential reconstruction. As you can imagine, this also means an extreme financial commitment.

Even with his injuries and constant vet appointments, Dudley has remained incredibly sweet, loving, and friendly to every human and dog he meets! His resilient spirit and beautiful heart are why we knew we had to help, and why we will stand with Dudley as he gets a second chance at life.

We are incredibly happy to be able to help this boy start to heal, but we can’t do it alone! There is a donation link in our bio that goes directly toward Dudley’s medical bills to help us ensure he receives the best care and starts his journey to healing. Back in February we rescued a new mama and her six 3 week old puppies from the shelter. After a lot of TLC and vet care we are thrilled to report that each one of these puppies is now living their best life! So we wanted to share a little update on each of them!

We couldn’t have done any of this without the time and care of every amazing foster that stepped up and stepped in! Fostering truly saves lives!!

PS- Mama Roxy is still available for adoption! She’s super smart and sweet and ready for her forever best friend! 🐾🤍
