Official Poster For our short film “Eje Mi”
The day of this shoot, everything went sideways from leaving home, picking up equipment, to even driving to the location. The shoot was scheduled to start by 10 AM… lol, we didn’t start until 5 PM. Heavy rainfall and a traffic gridlock had us stuck for over four hours. Haa…@keleyaa_ and @sammytrickx , my emotional support system, thank you. But honestly, it wasn’t even the traffic that almost brought me to tears it was the fact that my actor (may God continue to bless you for me) was already on set, and I wasn’t. I had to call my mum 😅😂 to tell her I was in a deep moment of frustration, because we couldn’t afford to reschedule. Too much had already gone into this. But Alhamdulillah we finally got to set, things started to fall into place. We wrapped everything by 10 PM.
To @itsjblaze , one of the realest people I’ve ever met thank you for everything you do. You showed up for me in different ways. Working with you reminds me that some people are built different genuine and solid. Thank you, Big J.
To @keleyaa_ my artist, my actor, my bestie, and therapist 😂 thank you so much for all that you do.
To my biggest blessing, Mrs. @joytongoYour love, your belief in me, your endless support… I honestly wouldn’t be here without you. You saw something in me, You gave me a shot, opened doors, and never stopped pushing me to grow. I owe you more than words can say
To @directorpink_ , my helper you believed in me and offered your full support without hesitation. I’m truly grateful. To all the creatives wanting to learn filmmaking, please register for her class: @pinklineacademy .
To my brother @justcall_me_sa , my creative DOP thank you for believing in my creativity and pushing me to shoot the moment you heard the story.
@hassan.wunmi, my gee I appreciate you so much for your support and encouragement.
To @artmedinasb , my biggest supporter and creative backbone, and Koga, my steady hand and production brain thank you both. Your belief in me has never faded. You’ve shown up, stood by me, and poured your hearts into this journey. I see it, I feel it, and I’m forever grateful.
Full credit dropping soon 🙌🏾🙏🏾

A first look at my first ever short film.
This isn’t the official poster just a signature frame from the story.
Yeah, I’m leaking a few frames lol 🤭 but I couldn’t help it.
That day was something else. From emotional overload to technical wahala but Alhamdulillah, we made it through.
To everyone who believed in me, showed up with gear, donated funds, shared their craft, stood by me, gave me strength thank you. You didn’t just support a film, you supported a dream.
I’ll save the full gist for tomorrow… but for now, take this soft drop from Ẹ̀jì Mi 🎬🖤
We’re just getting started.
Also Don’t check the last slide it’s just an aboki boy doing his thing 🤭🤣

A Letter to Myself
Dear Ismaeel,
You’ve been through storms most people will never see. You’ve carried burdens in silence, and yet here you are still standing, still dreaming, still creating. You have stepped into the world of film not by chance, but by divine design. So as you journey forward, remember this:
Stay focused on your craft.
Be so good so exceptional that no one can ignore you. Pour your heart, your culture, your truth into your work until your art speaks in places your feet haven’t reached yet. I assure you, you will create some of the most beautiful and iconic films of this generation. The world will celebrate your voice. You will walk into rooms you never imagined and meet souls who will change your life.
But know this you will face resistance.
There will be moments when opportunity seems just out of reach, when rooms you deserve to be in remain closed, and when your light feels unseen. Do not let that dim your fire. These moments are not signs to stop they are lessons. Let them refine you, not define you. Let them fuel the hunger in you to grow, to evolve, and to soar.
Never settle for less.
Never accept mediocrity. Demand more from yourself than the world ever will. Choose growth over comfort. And above all, protect your peace.
Run from strife, envy, and anything that poisons your spirit. Walk away in love. Pray for those who wrong you. Let your work not your words be your loudest response. Let your name be associated with excellence, grace, and truth. Make your space your mind, your set, your home
a sanctuary of calm, vision, and focus.
Be grateful for every single person you come across on this journey the ones who helped, the ones who hurt, the ones who stayed, and even the ones who left. Each of them shaped your path, taught you something, and led you closer to your purpose.
With unending gratitude to @zimtopiaspa @joytongo @theradiochef @directedbythealien @directorpink_ @artmedinasb @itsjblaze @rapheal_tstick @_shvrtmann @clavecut @justcall_me_sa
The road ahead won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. You are not just a filmmaker you are a vessel of memory, culture, and divine imagination.
Keep going.
You were born to do this.

The road ahead won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. You are not just a filmmaker you are a vessel of memory, culture, and divine imagination.
Keep going.
You were born to do this.
