This was the reset I didn’t even know I needed.
There’s something about waking up at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club that shifts everything. The air feels clearer. Slower. Intentional.
Every morning, I ran the coastal path-just over two miles, but easily the most breathtaking two miles I’ve ever moved through. Ocean cliffs. Endless blue. Golden California light hitting just right. It didn’t feel like a workout; it felt like therapy.
The grounds are beyond immaculate-every detail meticulously groomed, curated, and serene without ever feeling overdone. It’s that effortless kind of luxury that makes you exhale the second you arrive. I don’t golf, but this place is an absolute golfer’s paradise-stunning in every direction.
Dinner at Bourbon Steak Orange County was an experience in itself. I ordered the signature lobster pot pie and a filet, and both were incredible.
And then… the bread.
I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the most life-changing bread I’ve ever had. Truffle butter baked inside the bread and layered on the outside-almost like a pastry, like a jelly donut moment… except it’s warm, savory, truffle butter heaven. It’s outrageous. I literally went back the second night just for one more piece, and the chef was kind enough to send it out. That’s the kind of hospitality you don’t forget.
And of course, the magic of the Monarch Beach Club. They drive you down in these vintage-style golf carts, which is such a fun touch-you get to take in the stunning grounds all over again on the way.
Directly on the ocean. Front-row seats to the sun melting perfectly into the Pacific. Catalina Island floating in the distance.The most unreal sunset disappearing straight into the water. They even have individual fire pits to sit by, which is perfect because California beaches cool down quickly after sunset. This was definitely one of my favorite moments. I stayed both days from golden hour well past sunset.
Sometimes luxury isn’t just the room, the food, or the views-it’s the feeling. The space to breathe. To run. To reset.Grateful for experiences that feel this intentional. WATCH TILL THE END FOR A MOMENT 💅 @wamonarchbeach #waldorfastoriamonarchbeach

I needed this moment more than I realized. 🌲✨
I took a solo trip to Sequoia with just me and my daughter Charlie and completely surrounded myself with nature and the magic of the sequoias. I truly could not have been prepared for how magical it feels standing next to these massive trees in real life.
There’s honestly nothing that could compare to the feeling of seeing them with your own eyes. The scale, the energy, the stillness… it completely humbled me. I’ve never felt so small in such a beautiful way.
So grateful for this experience and this reminder of how powerful nature can be. Thank you. 🙏🏼

There is nothing anyone can say. There is nothing anyone can do. There is no amount of therapy, no amount of plant medicine, no amount of anything that can make this make sense to me in this lifetime.
I pray with all my heart and soul that you will be the first person I see when I get to the next life. I picture you running up to me, hugging me so hard we fall to the ground, laughing, and finally explaining everything in a way that makes sense. I believe I’ll understand then. But right now… I don’t.
I don’t know how I’m supposed to move forward after spending half of my life with the most incredible person I’ve ever known.
All I can do today is find gratitude. Gratitude that I came out here, into the middle of the Sequoia forest, completely out of my comfort zone, alone, just me and Charlie, feeling everything. Letting nature hold me while I try to make sense of the unimaginable.
I hope I’m making you proud. I hope you’re watching me. I hope you’re entertained lol. Either way, I love you so much.
I miss you every single day.
May 4 will never be a celebration for me. But I will honor you in every way I can. Always.

Mom, I love you so much. I can’t believe it’s been this long 💔… you passed away July 6, 2007.
None of this makes sense to me either. And your birthday being the day after TJ passed… it’s just a lot. This month is something I’m not sure I will ever have the strength to navigate.
But I came across this video today… I remember I recorded this song for you because it was one of your favorite songs. I did it as a tribute, and watching it back now, I’m like wow… I’m really proud of myself for that. For choosing to use art to honor you and having the strength to actually do it.And that I was able to get out of my head and stop saying that it wasn’t going to be good enough and get my insecurities to shut up so that I can get through this for you.
