Originally from Korea, Hailey @haileyparkmakeup relocated to Canada nine years ago to pursue her passion for makeup, training at Blanche Macdonald. For decades, Lisa has guided emerging designers through the foundations of fashion in our Design Collections program, from colour and fabric selection to trend forecasting, technical flats, and finding their own design voice. It's where students learn not just how to design, but how to think like a designer.
Lisa has been honoured with Vancouver Fashion Week's 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her lasting contribution and influence within the industry.

From a Managerial role in the hospitality industry, to stepping into the profession he always felt pulled toward, Pro Hair student Jack Meighan made a career shift at 28.
Just four months into the program, he’s already working on fashion shoots and connecting with the Vancouver Fashion Week hair team.
“I moved to Canada from London, England when I was 20 years old with no clear pathway. I worked my way up to being a General Manager, but I’ve always had a hidden passion for hair and one day I chose to dive head first into it. When I first started at Blanche Macdonald I felt seen and felt comfortable for the first time in years. Like I could finally express a side of myself I didn’t even fully know was there. Blanche Macdonald provides so many opportunities that help you grow, one of the best decisions I have made.
Learning something new and challenging yourself has never felt so good. There’s never a bad time to try something you’ve always wanted to.”

Chloe Duncan’s debut collection for CLDCMNTY didn’t exactly whisper down the Vancouver Fashion Week runway. It came out roaring - loud, anarchic and deliberate, fully its own thing.
